the way the UFC is building Paddy matchmaking is disgusting - Bro give this man someone in his age range or someone in their prime

This the problem tho he been built mans has 30 fights he supposed to be a skyscraper??
Hah! that's a good one
Paddy's got a lot of fights but not too many in the UFC. I dunno, I'm with you though. I'm glad this match with Chandler is made. Gotta find out Paddy's level

First he was beaten by Jared Gordon and the UFC stopped giving him young, hungry fighters but instead started feeding him old legends.. They gave him first Tony Ferguson he is 40 years old at the time and then they followed it up with Bobby Green and he was 38 years old at the time and now they have followed it with Michael Chandler he is 38 years old.

This is the worst matchmaking I have seen someone hand feed too..

Anyone who is excited for this fight is in over his head and they have put it on UFC 314 co-main.. Is this not obvious? This is gonna be a predicted one-sided win for Paddy

Chandler could KO him but most likely he just gasses and loses.

They should have Paddy fight St Denis or Beniel

How is anyone complaining about this matchup? I'm surprised they actually gave Paddy someone that good. Looking forward to it. Hopefully a round of swinging fists followed by paddy finish by sub.

I agree but Chase Hooper fighting Clay Guida coming off two losses and now Jim Miller pisses me off way more. I hope Miller knocks him out cold.
At least it got Guida out of there.
Edit: I'm pretty sure that was a rematch after a grappling expo or something.

Chandler almost beat Olives in his last fight

I've heard this before and aside from I believe cracking Oliveira in the fourth or fifth round Chandler did nothing but hit Oliveira to the back of the head and fence grab. If I remember the fight correctly the scores were either 4-1 or 5-0 for Oliveira.

This isn't a lay up for Paddy. Chandler's only been submitted once and tbh it was from poor decision making on his part (versus Poirier). Oliveira worked his ass off to get something done and couldn't. A fight where Paddy might have to strike for a bit versus Chandler is gonna be a rough one. It's a 5 rounder as well.

Chandler is old, but he's still an absolute fucking unit. The dude is only losing to elites, i think he's actually way too much for Paddy. It would be cool to be proven wrong, but acting like Chandler is washed is crazy

This is going to end like Page vs Machado. Chandler will win by decision. But because it wasn't a bad loss, pimblett will look at it as a win for him. And if Oliveira didn't submit Chandler then pimblett sure as hell ain't either.

As I said in the post above, if Oliveira didn't submit Chandler then pimblett sure as hell ain't either.

lol this is a lay up for Mikey boy. It's his fight to lose.

Wtf? I don't think Chandler has ever gassed. The dude is a monster
He gassed against Bendo years ago in their first fight in Bellator. He barely squeaked by in a debatable SD win--even though he clearly did better in the early rounds.

I definitely think Chandler would gas if he attempted a wrestling-heavy gameplan. He was able to win a round vs. Poirier via wrestling, but got submitted in the next round.

This. Not sure why Chandler is being written off. Paddy hasn't fought anyone as good as Chandler and even then he's struggled already against them. If anything, everything indicates to Chandler beating Paddy.

Chandler is still dangerous af and should have wrestling to keep Paddy off him grappling wise. And Paddy carries his chin way up and is no stranger to getting clocked in fights so... this is a dangerous fight actually.

Chandler is still dangerous and showed a good bit of grit and durability against Oliveira. However, the ONLY thing he really did was survive...and fight dirty. The only time he showed any offense was later in the fight (maybe 4th round?) when he eye poked Charles then hit him a bunch of times in the back of the head. The rest of the fight was 100% Oliveira.

I think Chandler is the only guy to lose a round to Tony Ferguson (round 1) since Ferguson took that awful beating from Gaethje in 2020.
