Everyone wants to be a part of something. To have a group that accepts them, and that they can feel close with. Its natural. Just the hubris that your side is always right, is what annoys me.

Its been like that for a while, but I think when lockdowns hit, it got even worse. We needed to feel some sort of connection to things other than ourselves, and politics is easy because you just have to agree, and no other actions are needed. You don’t have to actually DO anything. Easy way to feel a part of something.
 
It's funny, as the modern left and the right would no doubt enslave/tyrannize the other if given the opportunity, but cannot only because the moderates will not have it.

Such is our story since the beginning of time.

The war roomers are victims of being sold outrage. Facebook made a shitload of money off their anger. Who knows, maybe sherdog does too??? Lol or not..
 
The war room represents how the country is right now. All the peasants are divided while the wealthy are getting wealthier.
 
It's funny how we can talk and discuss movies and TV shows and share opinions with respect. But with politics, the line is drawn in the sand and there is rarely any middle ground. It is ok to hate Trump and ALSO admit Biden is inept and has lost his mental acuity. It is ok to support Trans rights, but also agree that biological men should not be in womens sports. It's ok to think legalized shoplifting isn't the answer to mass incarceration of certain races. Some of this is self-defeating stuff. I never remember a time where you HAD to either be liberal or conservative.
 
The meme thread is pretty good but for the most part people aren't capable of objective thinking and I say that as someone who posts there a lot.

Bunch of leftists calling anyone who doesn't agree with them far right and republican voters who view any difference of opinion as a threat to America.
