The War Room Bet Thread

You guys are silly

In the original thread, it was clear. Trump claimed that there were more than 3 million unauthorized immigrants who voted. I said that that was ridiculous, and I'd bet that the real number was less than 1,000th of that. Seemed like we were all set, and then Greoric brings up felons, and Heretic sees that as his escape. I think that's most likely still wrong, and as long as we're clear that Trump's original claim was a lie and that the number isn't even plausible, I'll go along with it.

I'm not going to give you the victory that this whole bet is based on, before the bet is even settled, you tool.

Wait, do you think it's possible that Trump wasn't lying and that his claim is close to true? If so, you shouldn't be quibbling about the numbers. If not, you shouldn't have a problem saying that he was lying and that his claim isn't close to true.

The bet you proposed is there for everyone to see. You can either take it, or not. Up to you.

Stripped of context, sure. And you can have your version of it if you just clear up that we know that Trump was lying and that the real number is not remotely close to what he claimed.

Squirm away, Jack. You've made it quite clear that you don't want any part of this bet, because you know you're going to lose.

@KONE should hear about this.

Er, I offered to accept your new version. I just ask for a good-faith clarification first. And it's really weird that you feel the need to bring another troll in.

LOL.

The original, unedited version is posted. There's really no sense in pretending I'm trying to change any stipulations. It makes you look pathetic. Although, we're WAY past that point now, so have at it if it comforts you.

I just ask for a good-faith clarification first.

A clarification on Trump? We don't know anything yet. We have no numbers to prove him right or wrong. That's what this whole investigation is going to get to the bottom of.

I'm not going to give you a victory you haven't earned.

greoric made me laugh cause he essentially threw a bomb and left. Kinda good he did though cause I didn't know there was a disagreement on felons being counted or not.

Do you think that it is possible that his claim is even remotely close to true? Remember that the best is that the actual number of unauthorized immigrant voters is less than 0.1% of his claim, and you're not willing to stand behind even 0.3% of his claim. Doesn't sound like you think there is any chance at all that he's not lying. But for some reason, you're not willing to say it. I cannot imagine how someone becomes such a hack, but there you are, I guess.

I didn't occur to me (I don't think it occurred to either of us). We were talking about unauthorized immigrants because that was Trump's claim. I just said that what he said was such an obvious lie that I'd bet against it being way off, and I was wondering who would be stupid enough to believe him.

You proposed a bet. I accepted. You've been trying to amend the bet ever since, going so far as to even up the numbers from 3000 to 10000. You know you're going to lose, so you won't agree to the original bet you proposed.

All you have left now, is trolling.

You're a sad, pathetic little man-child. You punked out. The end.

So the reason you're so mad and acting so immaturely is that you know I'm right but you can't admit it, right?

And, no, as I said, I'll go with your version of the bet (which is not what we were talking about) as long as you clarify that we know that Trump was lying about unauthorized immigrants voting and that the real number is nowhere near what he claimed.

We don't know what the real number is. That's the whole point of the investigation, you thick fuck.

Anyways, we're done here. You punked out. The end.

I punked out even though the offer of our originally discussed bet and your new version both stand, but you refuse to either take the first one or admit what you're already implying and everyone already knows before accepting the second one.

We don't know the exact number, but we know with 100% certainty that Trump was lying (which is why we're not proposing a bet on whether the number is 3 million).

Yes, voter fraud. My claim is that a thorough investigation will find less than 3,000 non-citizen voters and @HereticBD claims that they'll find more. Note that Trump is claiming 3 *million*.

It's almost 3 AM and I didn't read all that carefully, but doesn't this post demonstrate that Jack is right? He clearly specifies "non-citizen" voters and does not refer to "felons" or any of the other categories mentioned.

No. That's his amended version. Here's the original:

Like I said, a thorough auditing will find less than 3,000 illegal votes--probably way less. Do you agree or disagree?

If you read the whole back and forth, you'll notice that Jack wouldn't sign off before he even knew about the felon aspect. He just used it as an out when someone brought it up.

I've maintained my position of the bet being 3000 illegal votes over/under the entire time, because that's what he originally claimed. He obviously thought a lot harder about it afterwords, knew he'd lose, and then that's where all these extra stipulations started popping up.
