Again, I’ve provided no comment towards bets outside of or not officiated in the bet thread. I didn’t say that bet was valid or not. It’s not something where my opinion matters.

If you were a careful person, you would have noticed that I made a post in the bet thread immediately after the infamous "deal" post. That post is here. That's because War Room bets (other than account bets) are supposed to be finalized here.

Don't knock it. I had 100 on Woodley and told my guy I'm not paying him because Lead didn't finalize it. He nodded in respectful understanding and complimented me on my sense of honor.

The bet thread is here to finalize bets that are negotiated in the War Room. I've had multiple situations in which my bets were totally hammered out in the War Room but the other guy didn't finalize here. I'm used to people pulling out last minute. It's the way the game has worked ever since Lead created the thread. I understand that you've been around longer and that's the way it used to work. Maybe it can still work that way for people who choose to interpret things that way.

I'm fine with people pulling out on me before confirmation, and I'm sure I'll pull out on other people before confirmation in the future.

These statements are made as part of negotiations. In your language, this would be akin to homosexual foreplay feelers, also known as 'testing the waters'.
