for the UFC to recoup $1 million they only have to sell about 25K paperviews. 300,000 PPV @ $33 = $9.9 million without gate, foreign rights and close circuit viewings.

I think that fight is less interesting if it's at 135. MM already have losses there. But I don't really like the idea of TJ going down in weight either. I don't think that fight will ever happen, and that's just fine by me.

DJ is smaller than almost everyone on the roster. It's not really an viable excuse since he's proven to be able to outclass bigger guys. If DJ loses then TJ is just better.

People are dumb. DJ is small but his speed and skill makes up for the difference in most cases.

Agreed not sure why he doesn't seem to get it. That's what fans want to see and the kind of thing that could make him a draw, he needs to adopt the whole "my skill transcends weight classes, I'll fight anybody" persona. Rather than his current "Hell no, I'm not fighting him!" one.

If all parties really want the fight and the money it can happen. I think he really just wants a red panty night. Stack it with Conor/Khabib with the stipulation he gets points as long as he fights while bumping his show/win a little and I bet he'd fight at any weight they want. If it's billed as a double title fight card everyone would break bread and I could stop hearing about it! If TJ doesn't make weight it's on him and DJ still gets paid and gets to keep his belt. No one could be angry with that situation.

Conor has already told the UFC he won't fight on an event with other PPV draws (other than his opponent, of course).

They could try and stack Woodley + MM vs TJ. That might draw some eyes.
