The UFC should just pay Mighty Mouse big money to fight TJ at 135

This fight still hasn't happened at 125, and won't happen, because MM wants a guarantee that TJ Dillashaw will make the contracted 125 championship weight. This is totally understandable, because TJ will likely fail to make weight, forcing the UFC to demand a 130 pound catchweight fight. This is a huge risk for Mighty Mouse, and one which he would be wise to decline without incentives.

The UFC should just fork out $4-5 million and pay Mighty Mouse to fight TJ at a 135. This is an even bigger risk, but with a guaranteed $4-5 million, I'm sure MM would do it. This way the fight is all about the greatest pound for pound fighter moving up in weight to capture the 135 belt, and not TJ trying to come down and bully the smaller fighter to give him a loss.

This fight would probably sell way better at 135 than at a lower weight class. IMO this would be a worthwhile investment for the UFC, and a windfall for MM that is well deserved.

How bout they just fight.
Fuck I hate weight classes. Just fight who you want to fight.

The UFC should not enourage ducking via asking for way more money to fight fighter A rather than fighter B

If you're champ, you defend against who you're told or you lose the belt

So if they fight at 135, does that mean TJ's belt is on the line? Because if so, I could see MM pulling a GSP if he won and vacate immediately.

Yeah, it's not like the UFC are in this to make money (not lose money) or anything

Give Conor 100mil so we can finally get the Khabib fight too
Fuck it, dood.

Pay DJ a cool mil and he'll fight anyone.

I want this fight at 135. No weight cut excuses if TJ loses

No one cares about this fight really, they aren't going to spend a tonne of money just so it can settle a debate on a few message boards. They are only gonna pony up as much cash as they need to in order to make money back. Paying Mighty Mouse 5m to do anything is absolutely absurd. It just wouldn't pull the buys in

TJ vs DJ is gonna sell like shit lol, I don’t know why everyone pretends like it’s some superfight that is gonna draw casuals in.

They’re not gonna give in and pay MM just to satisfy a bunch of hardcore fans on mma forums that don’t even pay for the PPVs lol

I like how he didn't cave to the pressure... yet at least.

They should keep lowballing the pigmy and bring back Horiguchi, hw ain't scared of BW.

That is such a childish attitude. You're clearly a soft person that has never REALLY done combat sports, otherwise you wouldn't say that.

Weight classes exist for a reason.

Pay him in pvp points plus His normal wage so he earns what he sells simple.

Or just get the terms right for 125, pay him most of what he asks, and make it a co-main under a higher weight class' championship fight. That way everyone is happy and can shut up about this fight.

Or you could just strip him. Pay him his show money if TJ doesn't make weight, but nobody should be allowed to turn down a fight.

I feel like the only reason people want to see TJ vs DJ is because they want to see him lose.
Once he loses, I think fans and the UFC might treat DJ like Aldo after he lost to Conor.

It's so easy spending other people's money, huh?
There's obviously a reason they're not paying him that much, his history headlining.
