It seems this fight isn't the upset. Seems odd he wouldnt know what round it was in since he tweeted about the bracket before his tweets about the upset. I can only assume it involves Torres though and that's why he wasn't sure how she managed to fight Carla

He didn't, but if he could be confused about what round of the tournament a fight was in (when the bracket was laid out from the beginning) it must have involved Tecia and if it's the next round that'd be against Carla

With all the speculation that Rose is the next Ronda, I think 7 beating 2 is more of an "upset" than 3 beating 1 though even if Carla was the champ.

the left side of the tournament is going to be very difficult to pick, in my opinion. the right side is pretty clearly jo jo and randa. i just can't see rose or felice winning those fights.

Tecia beating Carla would be an upset if a person didn't know the seeding prior to the show. Torres has only four pro fights, and even though they're against top competition, it would be considered an upset by a lot of people. I would be shocked if Torres doesn't defeat Bec however and I think people might be getting played by the production team this week.

Unless I'm mistaken nothing else at this point is an upset. And tecia defeating Carla is hardly an upset as people were picking her as a possible finalist since the entire thing was annouced

I was also tempted to. I can`t win this thing by just picking the same as the majority every week. At some point, I got to pick an upset...but not this week.

Just got caught up on the last two weeks. Looks like they went pretty alright for me, but I'm still pissed about that Magana stand-up. I don't think it changes the outcome, but you have to let the fighters fight and that was one of the worst stand-ups I've seen in more than 10 years watching quite a lot of MMA. That referee has no business refereeing a mixed martial arts bout - damn cronyism.

I'm surprised by how much of a nice guy Melendez is coming off as. That's really not an impression I had of him. Maybe too nice for his role, unfortunately, but it makes me want to root for his team when all else is equal.

The picks are starting to get tougher now, imo, starting this week. I picked against Heather because of her injury, and I can see the temptation to do the same with Torres. Back injury, bad training situation, just fought. This could be pretty dicey

It's expected that we have clear favorites and underdogs during the preliminaries, but the picks will be more or less splitted right down the middle when we get to the quarter-finals.

I actually favors our dark horse Thug Rose over everyone else right now, she seems to be the most comfortable in and out of the cage and get the most out of the training sessions, while her peers are steadily succumbing to pressure and getting distracted by schoolgirls b.s.

Oh, I'm picking Torres for sure. I like Bec, but she lost to a undersized 15 year old Japanese fighter who loves Hello Kitty.

Torres backbone could be hanging by a thread and she'd still beat Tank Girl.
