I was having a beer with my buddy who works in the political field, lobbying, political campaigns..basically lives inside the Capitol building here in Austin

A couple things to expect in tx
1. highest number of early voting In Tx.
2. Bush will get 3%-5% of the vote due to the high early voting and he was still in the race at that time.
(So when.you see how many voted for Bush, thats why)
3. 15-20% of early voters had never voted in a primary
4. No one and i mean no one likes Ted Cruz
5. He doesnt support Trump but says Trump wins nomination
6. Trump puts Rubio as VP. (Speculation)
7. Will be the biggest election turn out ever. you either love or you hate Trump but either way you're going to vote.

anyways.. not great info.. but interesting to hear from an "insider"

and yes I think it's a conflict of interest to have people who are lobbyists also be the same people who run campaigns, but it is what it is

I live in heavy democratic area of Texas, dominantly hispanic. I spend alot of time talking with political insiders, and connected to democratic party. Surprisingly, a lot of them are voting Trump and they revealed that those they know are voting Trump, but have to keep it on the low as they are part of democratic establishment of the area. In addition, I'm coming across alot of people who have never voted in their life, coming out to vote Trump, and those that haven't voted since Reagan or Clinton voting Trump. I still think the area is going blue though.

Agreed.

people who haven't voted in a long time will be coming out.

Trump might actually win this.

Does Texas have open primaries?

It's funny, I live in a highly conservative part of Texas and I'm seeing almost the exact opposite. It's funny that some democrats seem to like him more than far right conservatives in Texas.

you or your friend, whosever opinion you're giving is completely wrong about Cruz

I may as well like to see Trump win than Hillary and see the hilarity that will ensue.

Why do you say that? It is clear that his antics in the Senate have made him few friends there.

As for him losing Texas, Cruz still holds a double-digit poll lead.

Maybe. Thats coming from how he was in 2004 when he worked on the Bush campaign. Loosely quoted.... -- no one who has ever worked with him currently supports his presidential run and that is telling.---- What exactly does that mean... Idk.

I have no personal experience with Mr Cruz. But people talk. A lot of people (allegedly ) were not happy Gov Abbott is supporting Cruz, apparently tea party people are stronger here than I thought.

Either way Kevin Spacey is right and the American people are going to get what we deserve.

We can stop blaming it on the politicians. We can stop blaming it on the oligarchy. We can stop blaming it on the people and things our decisions have empowered and built.

I disagree with your #6. Yes, here in Austin, everyone hates him, but he plays well outside the cities.

Everyone I know basically has voted already. Major difference than other elections.

I would certainly enjoy seeing mexican politicians getting called on their BS on twitter by God-emperor Trump.

Going to write my guy in as I have done since the 2008 election.

How is that anything approaching an answer?
the thread is about Texas, Cruz is and will do good here
Austin is no barometer of Texas, he has a loyal base because he's tried to uphold the promises he made....to us

You seem wholly incapable of forming coherent arguments.
