After Conor's last night tweet it became crystal clear the UFC had came out on top (media stunts theory aside).

The Fertittas and Dana didn't build a billion dollar franchise because they are dumb and easy to mess around with. Quite the opposite, to buy a failed enterprise and turn it around into today's one favourite combat sports, and dethrone boxing in the process is no easy task.

These folks are tough and business savvy. The UFC brandname is now a powerhouse and they know better than anyone how to leverage that. Are UFC fighters properly paid? I dont think so. Are they promo agenda tiring for fighters? Most likely. Dana are the are some bad mofos.

Fighters have always complied. There is no brand like the UFC, and fighters can make a name for themselves, win sponsors contracts, and do what they love. For the average UFC fighter the deal terms are probably not fair. For the best fighters, likely almost fair. Remember, there are events almost every other week too, if UFC paid large sums of money to their roster we wouldnt have this many shows.

Mcg thought he could change that. He reckoned he was smarter, and irreplaceble. But the UFC knew they had the better hand. Sign out of UFC and welcome to oblivion. And most likely, if any other MMA show gains momentum, the Fertittas can just buy them out and preserve their monopoly like status in MMA.

I believe fighters deserve better terms. But not in the way Conor tried to pull. Comitt to something and then try and change after the hands have already been shaken.

UFC owns mcg now. He sounds desperate. He isn't a partner, just another employee. The Fertittas are sending here a strong message.

Conor certainly looks foolish at the moment.

I have a hard time imagining just what the hell Conor thought he was going to accomplish with that non-sense. It showed extremely bad judgement on his part.

It's funny watching you guys try to comprehend MMA business.

The true business of MMA is just like any other business, make money

It was obvious that Connor and the UFC were on a crash course with each other when Connor started comparing his power and pull to the company. Businesses are cold and calculated, and when you are one loss away from losing a lot of power, and are challenging a corporation worth billions of dollars, you will lose.....
