As for myself, I would not let any animal, besides Fluffy the cat, or a hamster near my small child. I just read a horrible story, last night, about a Bull Mastiff, that crushed some 5 year old's head. The kid was a survivor of the deadly tornado. It is not worth the risk, imo.
