Has anyone read this book series?

It's by a Chinese author about an impending alien invasion, but definitely from a Chinese perspective. It is very much a hard sci-fi, which are my favorite, but honestly my favorite part is getting the perspective of a different culture. I'm currently about 70% through the 2nd book and can't put them down. The story has a lot of crazy twists and everything can change at the drop of a hat, but it's still easy to follow. Also the author drops characters like RR Martin!

It's very good if you like things like Asmov's Foundation series. In fact there is a direct reference to it.
