Simple explanation. There is no safe amount of lead in terms of human consumption and Michigan water systems are full of it.The statistics are still pretty nuts. I live in a town roughly the size of Flint, and there are maybe a few dozen violent crimes a year. Not nearly 2000 along with 40-50 murders.
