I'm not interested in anecdotes. Cuomo was planning wanted 120k hospital bed capacity late March/early April when those articles were written. I think New York peaked at 16k-20k hospitalizations according to Cuomo's briefings. They never ever used half their capacity. Its possible that some local hospitals may have been filled to capacity because not everywhere was hit the same, but thats not really a big deal. They just take them somewhere else in the city. Everyone who needed care was able to get it.

Lol, I have little doubt Trump has directed his staff to look into it. I have little doubt they told him it was a great and genius level suggestion; but promptly tell anyone not within earshot of Trump to never mention it again.

No, I get it. Overran isn't the correct technical term for the situation they had. But when they say "Some have died inside the emergency room while waiting for a bed", I think of them as being overwhelmed.

If this persisted for two weeks I could see it fitting but otherwise I’ve seen this stretch 3-4 days multiple times.

Yeah I was off on this one from the start.. But the crazy thing is as every step goes by, I still have to wonder lol. I mean, how many elderly people with compromised immune systems (or others with the same) die every day in America from fluid in the lungs from complications caused by the cold strand viruses? A lot of really old and very ill people die every day. Still though, on this one I might be eating some shit. I can handle it.
