Damn if that’s the average I’m out here killing the curve.

Its actually closer to 60% if I'm not mistaken sir.
Yeah so im not sure how only 4 in 1000 could be correct. If that was the case it would mean 996 marriages succeed and 4 fail in 1000 marriages sir. Which kinda makes me question the whole list unless im not understanding something properly.

First, tt's probably closer to 40% than 60%. Also, the divorce rate is relative to just the set of people that were married, which is a subset of the total number of people (it's not 4 out of 1000 married Americans).

I'm not sure if 4/1000 is actually accurate but you'd have to convert 4/1000 into how you're thinking about it.

You'd have to convert 4/1000 into something suitable for how you're thinking about it.
Now pretend im retarded and explain this to me like i am.

Something's definitely a little weird with those numbers.

I'm guessing it's actually supposed to be "4 out of every 1000 people get divorced every year" because if I take the total number of divorces in a year (689,000), multiply it by 2 to get the total number of people that were part of a divorce in a year, and divide it by the total population (333 million) I get:

2*689,000/333 million ~ 0.004 = 4/1000.

How does the average person have 42k of student debt at 50? That doesn’t sound right at all.
One way to look at it:

It means that those who actually got student loans (less than 50%) have more than double of $42k, so that the "calculated" average Joe/Joan Doe would have $42k...

<6>

P.s. And THAT does NOT sound right at all.

4 out of 1000 seems low for divorce rate

33 hours of TV a week? JFC that’s a crapload.

Where is the source?

4 out of 1000 get a divorce i thought it was around 50 percent?
Yeah that one is way too low. Let s say that 75% is of age to get married. Half of that is or was married: 37%. Then half of that divorces: 18%. I did this in 5 seconds in my head but I wouldn't be surprised if directionally correct. Much higher than 4/1000.
