They just made many mistakes on the chessboard.
PFL Africa, PFL MENA, PFL Europe, PFL Oceania, what next, PFL antartica.
PFL Greenland is next

How are they gonna dominate Europe when Europe got local orgs who put on a lot of shows with all the local talent.Well then PFL managment and production team is more stupid and useless than i thought. They had all tools to absolutely dominate mma market outside of UFC...
They can't. Though they can expand the niche they carved out. They have some presence in Western Europe. How are they gonna dominate Europe when Europe got local orgs who put on a lot of shows with all the local talent.
"All" local talent? Seriously? Like i absolutely disagree with this. How are they gonna dominate Europe when Europe got local orgs who put on a lot of shows with all the local talent.
I honestly think that they could have steamroll both KSW and OKTAGON due to resources, but they simply failed. They can't. Though they can expand the niche they carved out. They have some presence in Western Europe.
Being a viable alternative in UK, Ireland, France is more than enough ambition to satisfy an MMA org. France in particular is still in a sensitive phase where promotions are trying to create core audiences. PFL certainly had a chance with Doumbe to make some big strides there, though it seems like he can't get in the cage.
PFL never had any chance of snagging up everything outside the UFC. It's just something fans wished and assumed that was possible because they haven't thought about how big the world truly is (the UFC hasn't even done this).
There is nothing to steam roll them at. They were never competitors. KSW and Oktagon's success has never impeded PFL's lack of. PFL doesn't have interest in Central Europe, and if it did it would be after the Germanophone world.I honestly think that they could have steamroll both KSW and OKTAGON due to resources, but they simply failed.
Well no one is saying that they should hold events here. They should focus on online views from here tho. All they had to do was to sign someone interesting from local markets and then promote and build them... its all what was needed to achieve fans from local regions. Tho their best Czech signing (for example) was Pesta which definitely was not liked by casual fans here... + There was 0 promos anywhere to watch PFL or Pesta in PFL.There is nothing to steam roll them at. PFL only has the resources it does because it is based in America. If they asked investors for a bunch of money to have an MMA promotion in Czech Republic they would only be given a fraction of the money if any. They would need to go to the Czech Republic neighboring countries to do that.
Big companies from the States, Canada, Middle East aren't giving someone tens of millions of dollars to host some fights in Poland in the mid 2000s.
KSW and Oktagon are founded by people from those countries who made domestic products in markets they understand well. They're totally different from the PFL, which is why they had an easier time finding success. They aimed lower.
That Oktagon Polish card….. I don’t have any interest in any of it. Materla almost lost his leg during his last mma bout, I guess it’s good he is just sticking to boxing thenWell no one is saying that they should hold events here. btw remember that its so easy to fool fans on "european market" cuz its basically fresh sport for them. Oktagon simply builded "cheap no ones" into stars via promo and thats how they kicked of in Czech and aswell in Germany. They tried same in UK but it in my opinion didnt work out cuz fanbase there is not so fresh to MMA + other reasons. I lowkey expect their first polish event to be failure as well Materla vs Jungwirth in mma boxing is not something what will bring masses in Poland. Only who can save them is Joanna and TVP with promo...
Well, as I said, the only thing that can save them is a big promo from Joanna Jędrzejczyk and their Polish TV partner TVP. They are even reportedly trying to bring her to the Ostrava event as a “VIP host.” Other than that, they’re pretty much cooked but they probably expected this, and that’s why it’s close to the German border, so German fans can easily come. That Oktagon Polish card…..
