Actual F bomb.
haha I don't know the rules for what is and isn't ok on tv anymore..I swear sometimes i'll hear a F bomb drop in other shows (non HBO/Showtime shows)

I recently tried to watch the first Fifty Shades movie on USA on demand because it said TV-MA. They allowed F bomb and bare buns but blurred the boobs. Learned my lesson. I already have the unrated BluRay trilogy, but didn't watch those yet.

They've used the F bomb before..and the last ep had some CGI blood.
Still awaiting the h00ts
They swear, it's often pretty violent with blood or people getting blown up, and in season 1 L'Rell the Klingon was naked.

Happy 70th birthday to everyone's favorite Android. LT. Cmdr Data, aka Brent Spiner

God I feel old....

Kurtzman talking Picard series production design.

“Well, I'll tell you the first thing we all said is it has to feel grounded,” Kurtzman tells ComicBook.com. “No matter what choices we're making about portraying the future, it has to feel grounded, because I think one of the things people have loved so much about Next Gen is that it is a very emotional, thoughtful, grounded piece of entertainment. And the easy thing to do is come up with crazy floating skyscrapers, and all the cliches of science fiction, and we've tried to avoid that across the board.

So fat girls win half marathons because of psychological stress, humans can overpower Klingons in hand-to-hand combat, and suddenly the fanbase is too uncouth to be bothered to read subtitles, so now those Klingons speak English/"Standard".

I was hopeful the show would realize how badly it flubbed up every twist, especially after they scored Frakes to direct some episodes, and would return to the tone set in the pilot & first half of the season before the "twist" in its half's finale; then immediately scale back the action thriller elements, cynicism, petty squabbling among the crew (which violates one of Roddenberry's golden rules), and emphasis on the narrative arc. Pike seemed like a silver lining, and through the third episode, he still is, but alas, it appears the showrunners are as hopelessly out of touch with the heart of Star Trek as the Star Wars Disney movie execs are.

It's not going to improve.

For those of who chant, "Remain Star Trek".

I hope when Tarnantino makes his Trek movie, he decided to use Picard in his Yesterdays Enterprise movie.

What do you mean?
Quentin Tarantino is going to make a Star Trek movie, after his current project is done. He said his idea was based off his favorite Star Trek episode, Yesterdays Enterprise. Said he thought of a great Star Trek story based off the episode., saying imagine you could make a film off that one episode. CBS is all for it, and Tarantino hired the writer of The Revenant, to write it based off his outline. He will direct.

Tonight's episode was interesting. I thought we were seeing a early version of the doomsday machine at first. Solid episode

The TV preview has "TV-MA". Are there F words and naked boobs in Star Trek?
If you consider male pectoral muscles "boobs," then the answer would be "yes." Enjoy.

I just saw this episode in glorious HD on BBC today. Much more detailed in HD.

So the kids-focused Star Trek series seems to be going to Nickelodeon.

I actually love the idea. My kid is 2.5 years old and I think this series is probably not gonna launch in the next year, so the idea of being able to introduce him to Trek at an early age already is thrilling to me.

Yeah its a good move. It just shows that all the networks would love to have a Star Trek show. I would've loved Star Trek on Nickelodeon when I was a kid.

Intresting new episodes. I was wondering where they were going with Tilly and Cluber.

TNG came out when I was 4, and I didn't really start watching it until I was 7 or 8. And it was still way over my head as a youngster, but it made me want to learn about space and science. Honestly when I would see old TOS episodes on TV, they were almost cartoonish compared to TNG, with the bright colors, and funky 60s styling. Never even heard about the animated series until years later.

I have been thinking about the whole Section 31 thing.

How is it justifiable to have a person who has committed genocide and has eaten whole Kelpiens as a member of Section 31? Somehow it feels like a line has been crossed there.

Who knows what star fleet actually knows about her, other than what Burnham and her have told them. They needed her to win the war. Section 31 has always, done what needs to be done, regardless of the morality of it. I think the larger story this season with section 31 will be how they are going from a somewhat known(a CIA or KGB if you will) branch of Star Fleet intelligence. They will shift into the more secretive unknown entity, that they became in DS9.

I'm fairly certain that section 31 knows more about the red angels, and in turn, tried to kill Spock. They failed, now they are playing it off that he killed random Star Fleet members and not assassins. Spock is running, because he dosen't know who he can trust.
