Not sure, but it certainly indicates we are not in the final form of the prime universe just yet.

I wonder how that plagiarism lawsuit is going for STD.

Was watching the Original Series last night and wondered what Shatner was up to so I googled him.

Not very well for the game developer. The lawsuit has been sloopyily managed by his lawyer. They are trying to claim now that because one of the writers has a steam account, that's why the lawsuit is valid. Only problem is the writer I question never bought the game, and didn't join the production, until well after the series had been developed and was in production. Keep in mind Bryan Fuller original idea was for the tartigrade, was he was going to be a crew member named Efrain, and was assistant chief engineer. He was even going to have his own special star fleet uniform. They had to abandon Efrain, because it was deemed to expensive, to have a full time cgi character .

I like having the conflicted Georgiou now. She still sees Burnham as her daughter, and that overrides her dark Terran tendencies. That was a cool phaser/martial arts battle towards the end of the episode.

So here's a rough timeline according to Kurtzman, for upcoming seasons of Trek

DSC season 2, 3 episodes left.

Picard: Starts filming in two weeks April 2019, and will film at San Clemente studios. First season will air 4th quarter 2019, most likely beginning in December.

DSC season 3: Writers started writing in February. Shooting in Toronto will Start in June 2019. Season 3 will air first quarter 2020, following the finale of Picard.

Lower Decks: Show is written, but the animation takes about a year to complete. Looking at 2021

Section 31: As soon as DSC season 3 is finished, they will then work on Section 31. The two showrunners, are both still working on DSC, but will switch to Section 3 full time after writing is finished. Likely to air 2021

Nickelodeon: Deal expected to be singed very soon.

I really think they might kill off Burnham. Its either she dies, to correct mistakes in timeline, or she will fix the timeline some how.
Oh please do, she's freakling awful

Wow, tonight's episode of Discovery was the best episode of Trek in 20 years. Fantastic stuff.
What episode is it?
I just finished 7, and I'm finding each episode getting worse. Burnham ruins every scene she's in, and she's in most of them because everyone turns to her for their problems/solutions. Poor Saru (love him, Jones is such a great actor) is on his deathbed in one episode, and he's still licking her clit.

What's up with her whisper speak too? She's pretty much always whispering like she has laryngitis. She's a terrible actress, gives Ellen Page a run for the limited expression award.

I liked the first 2 episodes of this season (more the 2nd) and the one with the church. The latter felt like TNG Star Trek more than any episode yet. I just found out that Jonathan Frakes directed it, makes sense lol. They need to do more like that

Wife yesterday when faced with the prospect of Burnham getting killed off: 'Yes please, switch her vs Spock".

She also laughed at the beginning, asking me why she should give a damn about Airiam when they never gave the characters time to develop.

It shows what a great episode that was, to give a damn about a character we knew virtually nothing about. Kinda interesting that, the new LT. her took her place, played Airiam in season 1. She was in the background a few times this season, but now I guess we know why she was recast. She wanted t keep working.

I'm caught up now.

I never slam anyone for liking something, and all the joy to you if you like it. I'm not feeling it though.

I do like Spock, and not just cause he's constantly taking pot shots at Mike. He's like the voice for the viewer. He's a good actor, plays Spock well. Why did they have to make him dyslexic though?

I was glad to start seeing Ariam get some air time, but then they kill her off? I was invested in her backstory, and wanted to know more, but felt nothing for her death, or the scene leading up to it, especially when tumblr Tilly sprinkles her retardation into it. How the hell is Tilly Command material btw? She's not fit to be a forum mod (no offense mods), let alone a Captain. How the fuck did she win that race too... but I digress

I was intrigued by the red angel thing, but they incorporated some MCU-ish time crystal? ST goes into the fantastical, but they usually try and add some technobabble, they're not even trying anymore. I think Mudd brought it into the show, but was there an explanation for it?

The writing is so inconsistent, but when it's good, Burnham tends to rob any scene of impact with her terrible acting. She's been in overacting tears in nearly episode it seems, bringing that late series Walking Dead stink with her

I like the Stamets dynamic with the doc, but did they need to remind Yeoh and the viewers that they're gay, we all know lol. Stamets is one of my favs on the show!

I might be in the minority, but I love mirror Georgiou, she's a cool character. I've always had a big thing for Yeoh. Her accent sounds like she has a dick her in mouth, my dick :D

btw, Mount, P4P best hairline in Star Trek history! He's solid when the writers let him be the Captain, and not have to lilck Burnham's twat, like everyone else.

I'm liking where they are going with Georgiou as well. I think they are going to make her the mastermind, who takes section 31 back, completely behind the scenes. The ultra secret group, who does what needs to be done, or atleast what they think needs to be done.

Wow they are killing it with the Pike stuff this season. Burnham kinda meh. Anson Mount kills it in the cadet training scene.

Happy first contact day everyone! Only 44 more years until the Vulcans make contact. Just gotta get through ww3 first, and we're a bit behind schedule on the eugenics wars....

I ordered the DVD what feels like a year ago now. Took them long enough.

I'm only a few episodes behind on Discovery now. I like it.

I was wondering this last night, who is better, Data or Spock? Who would you rather have as your #1? I know Data wasn't #1 but let's compare them, I think Data is kinda based on Spock anyway.

Data's clear advantages are physical strength, libraries of knowledge and speed in going through information. He beats Spock in that his mind is a bigger library than Spock's. But Spock is still a repository of wisdom. Who is the better problem solver? Data can often roam his memory banks and find a solution that may work but Spock can think on his feet. He is intuitive and picks up things that Data doesn't even know exist. Like this one time Spock had to get them off a planet on a shuttle quickly. He has a Sherlock Holmes or Dexter quality to him.

What I think really gives Spock the victory here is his mental powers. Mind melding. Other shit. Very useful. I think mind melding easily puts Spock over Data. I take Spock.

Going back and watching the TOS I am really starting to like Kirk too. He may be the best captain. That is such a tough one.
