The very first example is why that ruleset would never get sanctioned in the US.
0:29 - a completely done and defenseless dude sitting with his back against the cage and his hands down getting blasted in the head with a kick.
To be fair, if a guy doesn't have the wherewithal to defend himself then the fight should be stopped before a soccer kick is even thrown.
That's assuming a competent ref is in there.

Meh. Indifferent about 12-6 elbows when there are already different kinds of elbows that are effective. They look cool but yeah, too brutal for a mainstream audience.
I think as fans we are getting a little more sensitive to the health of the fighters as we learn more about concussions, the brain and seeing how guys from PRIDE are ending up.
12-6 elbows however, I think we could probably get those legalized.
I figure, its perfectly fine to land a flying knee on someone who is ducking into it. Or to head kick someone who ducks into it. Strikes like this are perfectly legal, and far nastier/more powerful than a soccer kick.
So, allow soccer kicks and knees/kicks to ground opponents in general.

Those don't happen often and it's not like you can control someone to keep them from diving into your knee. You can not soccer kick someone in their face.
Knew you would be from England when I heard that tune
