Not a good TV show. At all. It was popular in it's prime because there were no other crude cartoon comedies out there. But can The Simpsons even be considered crude? It really isn't. Shows like Family Guy and American Dad are leaps and bounds better than The Simpsons. There was simply no comedies similar to compete with The Simpsons at that time.

When Family Guy gained steam and took over, it was pretty clear what show was better. American Dad isn't too far behind it. The Simpsons isn't even on anyways radar anymore. Does it even air? Who cares.

I'm ready to get flamed by the old fawks who refuse to believe The Simpsons isn't funny. Come at me.

Simpsons paved the way for Family Guy even if the Simpsons hasn't been relevant for almost 20 years, it was still one of the most iconic shows of the 90s

no they arent, and saying one of the McFarlane's TV turds is better is just sad

Prime Simpsons is GOAT entertainment material. Totally disagree.

The best of the Simpsons is much better than anything McFarlane has done.

That show was the KING of 90s satire. 10x better than anything SNL has done and they were prime in the 90s. Brilliant parody of the america that show is.

You know exactly what you're in for with this thread.

Might have to de-mod over this tbh

Seasons 3-12 are fucking awesome

Family Guy was reasonably good during its initial run but honestly fox cancelled it at about the right time and it should have stayed down, everything since has been largelty aweful including all of his other cartoons.

It was never close to the first decade of the simpsons though, Futurama did reach a similar kind of level although ironically I think Fox cancelled it at around the right point to, the comebacks weren't aweeful like Family Guy but weren't on the same level as the first 4 seasons.

Family guy had what 3 maybe 4 good seasons? give me a break. Not to mention they ripped off the basic construct of the Simpson's. So go hang your head in shame for saying such blasphemy.

I do and I'm here for it. Family Guy, American Dad, SNL >>>> Simpsons. You can all fight me.
