MM = matchmaking?

I feel pretty comfortable with Nuke, Train, Office, Mirage and Dust2. Not saying I'm an expert on them, but I have a good idea of the routes people like to take and where people like to shoot from. I took Dust2 off my search though because it gets annoying to get put into it every round.

I've kind of been smurfing the past 2 weeks. My friends got the game from Steam sale and we all play together but they are unranked or Silver 2 so I end up playing people under my rank often. But even then I rank up to Silver 4 and derank and then rank back up often because I can't completely carry my friends to victory all the time. Sometimes I'll go like 25-15 or something but my team still loses because they aren't too good yet (but getting better). At least I'm farming kills doe.

Speaking of smurfing, someone got 56 kill one match on the other team, but his team still lost lol. His teammates/friends were pretty bad but it was pretty crazy seeing someone get so many kills in one match.
 
Seen a good amount of boosting over the past week with some questionable good players on unranked accounts.

Fortunately I got back to my master guardian 2 rank.

Valve needs to introduce a mechanic that cancels a MMS game if all ten aren't joined.
 
Started playing CS:GO recently(after a few years off) and so far up to Master Guardian 2 rank.

Wondering how high I can get since I still find it rather easy to maintain at least a positive k/d ratio. Every now and then I carry a game. Not as often as I did at lower ranks, but still.
 
Silver Elite with a .9933 KDR now. Gonna hit dat 1.00 status soon enough!
 
My KDR is finally above 1.00 and I am a Silver Elite Master right now. I do well against other Silver Elite Masters and think I should be close to ranking up. The only game I played against a higher rank today was against a Gold Nova 2 and I still went positive and was #1 on my team

Ugh. Anytime someone has 50 kills in a game, that's just fishy.

Only happened to me once. The guy was just a regular person for the first 15 rounds or so. His team was losing something like 13-2 at the half. Two players on his team abandoned.

Then, out of the blue, the guy bought an awp on CT, and never missed again. He also happened to be waiting for us no matter whether we rushed A, B, mid, or whether we waited. Didn't matter. He knew exactly where we were, and hit every single shot (that I saw), even through the smoke.

I think we ended up tying the game. The other guy's score went from like 10-15 to somewhere around 50-20. Even with two bots on his team.

Ugggh that made me so angry.

His remaining teammates were still angry with him early on, and were telling us he's hacking. But when they came close to winning, suddenly they were denying that he hacks, saying he's legit. No integrity.
 
I played pro back in 1.5 / 1.6, stopped playing years ago, but still jump on 1.6 or GO randomly. Source killed everything.
 
1.6 was the shit. I played Source for a bit, but man it was all fucked up. The hitboxes would lag behind the character, awful

Used to ruin fools with the Scout and Famas

Haven't tried GO yet
 
Finally finished 10 competitive games, placed in Master Guardian Elite. I'm going to start playing CSGO more I think, running competitive 5s is pretty awesome. Still get the rush when it's 1v3 or whatever. Nice change from LoL.

edit: Got promoted to Distinguished Master Guardian.

Bad news is i got demoted to Master Guardian 2. Which is strange for my win to lose ratio was even with a few ties in there. However in some of those loses i played horribly (late at night after a full day of work and after doing my exercises).

Good news is that this week i got a AWP Redline StatTrak MW and AWP Assimov WW from case openings. Traded those two and my Urban Flip Knife for a Urban WW Karambit :icon_chee
 
Master Guardian after one month. Not too shabby, a lot of my friends are silver and gold 2 and fail to understand the complexity yet simplicity of this game. Hoping to hit Guardian Elite and I'll be happy.
 
Can find me as Seefourdc on steam if you want to add. I'm pretty steady MGE or DMG depending on how much I'm playing with my drunk ass friends. Been playing since right at end of 1.5 myself.
 
Thought i had a understanding on how Valve handles ranking up and down for competitive play. After last night im at a loss.

Got back my double AK rank last night. Went 4-2 in my last six since losing double AK originally (lost, won, lost and won the next three). In all the matches my K/D ratio was either above or just below 2:1.

Starting to believe those who said K/D ratio plays a factor in ranking.
 
New update dropped yesterday; dealing mostly with a new case and sticker capsule. All of which look damn good.

Hotfix of the one way smoke last week worked. Need to give props to Valve for fixing it.

I don't have any inside knowledge on this.

But from experience, I am quite sure it has more to do than just how many games you win or lose. Perhaps K/D also influences it, perhaps MVP stars, perhaps rounds won/lost. Maybe all of them. Who knows??

Back when I was gold 4, I got promoted to master guardian after only going 2-2. I did quite well in those games, but couldn't win them all. After only my second win in four games, I got promoted. So yea...

Meanwhile, I won 5 in a row on distinguished master guardian and I'm still there. I assume it's because I'm not dominating like I was at lower ranks.
 
Was great games between Titan and NiP yesterday. Navi was just on another level though all weekend.
