The S+C resource for everything related to Old Time training styles and lifting in all disciplines -

Weightlifting
Strongman
Powerlifting
Throwing

Back when lifting was in its infancy, there was no time wasted on internet forums and more time spent lifting iron. Here we can learn from those who walked before us and garnered more experience/pain/gains than the majority of us ever will.

Absolute treasure trove. Thanks!

I was about to leave the house when I saw all this. God dammit.

Updated with Smolov/Sheiko/Breathing Squat routines & others.

these are great dude, thanks.

watching ricky bruch docu again so here's a bump

Ricky bruch is boss. Dat power curl
And his girlfriend had to be one of the hottest women ever

Missed this thread the first time around. Glad it's been bumped. Got lots to watch and read on my nightshifts now.

Awesome thread, glad somebody dug it up.

Brooks Kubik is another guy to check out, He wrote the dinosaur training manual which Is basically a manual about how to get into old school type stuff. Lots of heavy singles, double, triples. Also lots of lifts starting from the bottom position. Cool stuff. I got the book if anybody wants it.

wow this thread is amazing they should sticky this or something so it dosent get buried again

Outstanding work, Redbeard. Very interested in Doug Hepburn's routine. Anyone here used it?

Also if you dig up past poster MeatPlow's log, he used hepburn for a long time.
