I'm clearly right. How the hell can you be caught in a perjury trap when you've agreed to be interviewed and can decline to answer or end the interview at will? The whole thing is a logic fail of the first order. It's the oft-repeated cycle; first the White House lies, then a shitwit introduces a strawman argument, I shoot it to hell, and we get something like this as the argument from the counsel for the defense,

If a prosecutor asks questions not to glean information but in order to give the deposed witness the the opportunity to lie and thus create a process charge, then yes it is a wrong thing to do and it is a perjury trap.

Again, using the term perjury trap here is just a way of deflecting from the lies coming out of the White House. You either failed to get this point or ignored it in order to deflect. Give up. Shut down the manure spreader and try using your brain for once.

I think it went off the rails when you misleadingly quoted the wikipedia article on perjury traps to make it seem as if they were "staggeringly rare", which the wikipedia article does not claim. You then misleadingly tried to say you said something all together different than what you actually originally claimed. Your constant defensive insults don't adequately hide the dishonest argument you put forth.

As far as process charges go, I've been quite clear over many threads that people who lie to investigator's should face the consequences, and indeed, several of Trump's cronies have been sentenced to jail time for it. However, it should also be noticed, that a two year long investigation with massive resources has in the end come up with nothing more than a handful of process charges. That's a big fat goose egg in the real world, because the theory that Trump somehow colluded with Russia in their attempts to interfere with the 2016 election was always a dubiously sourced conspiracy theory, mainly concocted for partisan reasons.

Mueller identified ten possible obstruction situations and investigated. Then we get CNN and other Mainstream Media entities characterizing that element as "ten instances of obstruction". That's straight up lying an corruption by the media... CNN.

That's the keypoint that's "conveniently" being left out :

Those 10 possible obstruction situations WERE INVESTIGATED ALREADY BY MUELLER!!

And if he can't come to a conclusion of Obstruction, then guess what? There is no obstruction then.

A simple case of Enough Proof or NOT Enough Proof (to prove Obstruction), and Mueller said the latter.

"Officers of the GRU unit appear to have stolen thousands of emails and attachments which were later released". Seems Mueller didn't have enough proof to make it definitive. Which he did do with other activities involving the Russia (Podesta's emails).
