You're damn rightAnybody in their early 40s definitely can feel the difference and drop in energy compared to their late 30s.
Stipe was slow because of his age.

He looked like that in his training footage before the fight and also in the first round already as soon as the fight started. Blaydes (?) who saw him train confirmed that, i think he was injured. Ive never seen any fighter in UFC history, not even the fattest most out of shape HW’s, move so slow. My 86 yr old grandpa moves faster and he can barely walk…Everyone forgets Jones beat the living snot out of him in the first round, aint no way you dont look like a lesser version of yourself after that hiding.
Stipe was in great shape, looked focused and on point. Got flipped like an egg and elbowed to Bolivia.
Stipe wasnt a zombie due to age, he was a zombie cause Jones beat his ass badly in round one.
I'd say even more than a loss of speed, anyone over 40 notices that endurance goes; you might have some snap to your shots for the first round, but it fades much faster than in your 20s or early 30s.Anybody in their early 40s definitely can feel the difference and drop in energy compared to their late 30s.

Then how you explain Jared and Glover? Glover had more energy than Stipe when he was the same age.. and Jared is 40 and has more energy than Stipe who is only 2 yrs older.Anybody in their early 40s definitely can feel the difference and drop in energy compared to their late 30s.

Calling it now...
Stipe will be Jake Paul's next
It's individualized. Account wear and tear. Was glover faster in his early 30s or was he faster in his late 30s? Use your brain bro lolThen how you explain Jared and Glover? Glover had more energy than Stipe when he was the same age.. and Jared is 40 and has more energy than Stipe who is only 2 yrs older.
Edit: Stipe was already showing signs of decline in his 2nd fight with Francis. He did not look much better than he did here. Not to mention I think the inactivity played a huge part here. You can't be inactive in upper 30's and early 40's and return to competition without expecting a huge performance drop off.
Exactly brutha!!! I'm sure you felt better in your late 30s than early 40s.You're damn rightI feel like crap since i've been in my 40's
Well of course inactivity doesn't help. But AGE IS A HUUUUGE FACTOR. How old are you? Then how you explain Jared and Glover? Glover had more energy than Stipe when he was the same age.. and Jared is 40 and has more energy than Stipe who is only 2 yrs older.

Glover was a significantly better fighter in his early 30s. Jared is shot now. Then how you explain Jared and Glover? Glover had more energy than Stipe when he was the same age.. and Jared is 40 and has more energy than Stipe who is only 2 yrs older.

He also looked slow blowing on his soup at Denny's for lunch.Oh yeah thats true, if you forget that he also looked slow in the first round before that happened.
Are you in shape? I am 44 and still feel like I am in my 30's.. I Cut back on drinking and have a great diet.. Cardio 4 days a week.. Fend off that aging process as long as we can..You're damn rightI feel like crap since i've been in my 40's
Have Jones take you down and beat you up for 4 minHis punches looked like they were on 0.75x in Youtube.
1 min into the fight Jones took him down and beat the crap out of him..He looked like that in his training footage before the fight and also in the first round already as soon as the fight started. He looked slow going to answer the phone asking him if he wanna fight for the world title. He also looked slow blowing on his soup at Denny's for lunch.
Very lower end of 30's.Well of course inactivity doesn't help. But AGE IS A HUUUUGE FACTOR. How old are you?
Glover being a better fighter in his early 30's doesn't really explain how he was still so competitive in his early 40's. A shot Jared still beats most of the lower ranked guys.Glover was a significantly better fighter in his early 30s. Jared is shot now.
You may feel that way, I sure did. But your reaction time has slowed, you can't stop and turn as fast. You are not as flexible, you will get injured easier. Are you in shape?
