The guy said he wasn’t vacating the LW Title. Did you somehow forget that? He vacated because the UFC finally stood up to Khabib. Nobody gets to hold two belts at the same time anymore. Topuria, and Islam are clear proof of that.

If the UFC could only get that clue with the Heavyweight division. However, this is correct and I believe Diego Lopes mentioned it in an interview before his title fight this year that the UFC is no longer allowing champions to move up or down without vacating the title.

On a serious note I don't think the PFL will be parting with Usman any time soon, he's very valuable to the promotion. They won't let him walk out the door as easily as Pitbull, Aaron Pico or Patchy Mix did.

This makes a LOT of sense, does anyone know the status of Usman Nurmagomedov´s PFL/Bellator contract? It was my first thought when i saw he vacated and Patchy Mix being released, Bellator champions are being let go, Usman N. is probably next in line for release, probably has the same manager (Ali).

That’s still contradicting to what Islam said a couple of days ago. Even if Usman is going to the ufc, he still has to climb the ranks before getting a TS.

Not 100% sure on what he said, but he said he wasnt going to vacate the title, then 3 days later he did.
