Is the striking that won Islam the fight Particularly the leg Kicks that fucked up Jacks heavy front foot to defend a takedown and had to go back to a single stance and no switching. Belal had none of that Jack could get into that low partial sprawl stance that already defends half that takedown for you while Islam chopped those heavy legs and nearly stumbled Jack a couple times. I dont think there is that much of a difference between the wrestling of Belal and Islam and but JDM nearly got sniped by a stray high kick while he had nothing to worry about against belal but only the takedown.

All the Islam fans are eating good right now. I'm not a fan and I think that fight was boring as fuck. BUT I can recognize Islam's greatness. Not just his grappling but even his striking was giving JDM problems.

I still think Khabib is the greatest MMA fighter ever. He had an ability to not only get takedowns but dominate and smash people on the ground that Islam, Valentina, and Khamzat all lack.
