The Problem Isn't Ngannou or His Agent

Can be small or big, but point is Ngannou's perspective. If a 3rd option would be better as both WME and CAA can have their downsides.
In real terms, I See where you are coming from. But again, what you are talking about is a manager abrogating their fiduciary responsibility to their client. And in the grand scheme, while the UFC is the bulk of Ngannou's negotiations and business, he has interests elsewhere. This is where being with a massive talent agency really pays off, especially when those talent agencies have their fingers in multiple pies. No disrespect to Paradigm, but they would never have gotten Ngannou into Fast and Furious and by extension that new audience and potential revenue source.

How did attention spans become so short over the years? It's amazing. I would say technology, but I use technology all day, every day, and can still manage to read a paragraph. Craziness..
Attention spans didn’t get shorter. Your access to opinions got much much much bigger.

Good read, thank you TS. Some interesting insight into areas of the sport many of us don't concern ourselves with too often.

Your opinion about my opinion is an opinion. Attentions spans being shorter is a statistically proven fact. It is what it is.

That Has to be the worst thing about those UFC contracts. It appears they have no expiration date whatsoever. GSP could be 60 years old and it’s my understanding he still would be bound under contract by the UFC if he wanted to do anything in combat sports. It’s pretty sickening.
It makes me wonder where the champion clause sits on this. He won the MW title, so that would've added a fight to his contract, but he let go of the title and retired again. I'm guessing he didn't care about the added fight since he's likely to not take another fight, and already can't box.

I don’t know? I’d love to see him compete one or two more times just because he is such a legend. He’s obviously past his prime but could still put on some exciting fights. But those contracts are brutal, and honestly he probably doesn’t want to go into another stupid negotiation with them like last time. They can’t even get on the same page with the current heavyweight champion of the world, and he is a knockout artist.

They pay 18% of revenue to their athletes, this is indisputable at this point.

It doesn't have to be disputed. What has to be disputed is that every fighter agreed to it.
