The Problem Isn't Ngannou or His Agent

The tldr was tldr
How did attention spans become so short over the years? It's amazing. I would say technology, but I use technology all day, every day, and can still manage to read a paragraph. Craziness..

so the Paul brothers are signed with an agency that owns the UFC. The feud between them and Dana is 100% manufactured.

They are.

And yes and no regarding manufacturing. I believe that Jake's heart is in the right place, and would legit like to see fighters be paid better. I also believe that Jake is legit getting under Dana's skin, and that they genuinely don't like each other.

The part that could be considered manufactured about it is that neither have been told to stop, and are likely being encouraged to continue.

Drama sells incredibly well in the entertainment industry.

You just proved my point. You didn't really argue it. I said UFC wouldn't do that ever, it is not in their best interest for someone like Jake Paul who isn't part of the UFC diss UFC and their fighter pay and contracts. He's exposing the problems with UFC in pay and contracts. You think this type of media exposure benefits UFC/WME and this is something they are planning with Jake Paul? No because it'll just makes the companies fighters all unhappy and make them realize they are getting under paid and have bad contracts compared to boxing.

The point of the lawsuits is anti-trust lawsuits, so having bad contracts is part of that and not paying the fighters properly is also part of that. That's why UFC/WME made contract adjustments after buying UFC and Dana is always saying how their fighters get paid more than some boxers and using their highest paid fighters as examples. Which even then doesn't compare to the highest paid boxers and their champions. This is why a lot of fighters are wanting to switch to boxing. Contracts and pay is better if you can get your boxing to a high level or get a Jake/Logan Paul fight. Plus you can be your own promoter and protected by the Ali Act as a boxer. No protections as an mma fighter.

So no, none of this benefits WME/UFC in any way.
Most mma fighters have an opportunity to switch to boxing if they want…….it’s not that hard to do.

What’s hard is actually making money in boxing once they switch.

I stopped reading at "Diaz brothers don't move the needle." That's super disingenuous.
1. The quote was "Nate Diaz isn't a needle mover."
2. At that time Nate Diaz wasn't moving any needles.
3. The quote came after the lowest rated Fox card ever which was headlined by Diaz vs Benson for LW title and Diaz got wrecked 50-43 on 2 judge's scorecards.

Dana does enough stuff to get flamed all by himself. No need to spin things negatively when he actually tells the truth.
His point is why would you say that about a fighter publicly who you employee. You missed the entire point on his post

Do you see a lot of media coverage about major golf and tennis tournaments paying out less than 20% of the revenue to the players?

Anyone in Dana’s role will have the same job of maximizing value for shareholders.
How much brain damage do golfers usually get from their sport?

Because at the time it was true. Nate didn't become ultra popular until the McGregor fights.

That's the point that you're missing. The fight with Benson was Nate's 5th main event, and also a title fight. He was definitely moving needles. Conor's level of popularity is not the standard that those types of metrics are based around.

If the mods don’t like your suggestion, at least they could make a “I ain’t a envious fake righteous bitch” thread for comments like mine, you loser.

That should make a "Dick riding for Dana" thread for comments like yours

The fight with Benson was the lowest rated Fox card ever.

The rematch between Maynard and Nate was so horrifically bad (another main event) that the UFC gave Frankie Edgar a TS even though the Maynard/Nate rematch was a number 1 contender's fight.

The UFC tried to push Nate. The casual fans weren't behind him yet. Numbers don't lie.

Lol they are for sure. Their athletes are paid way better, overall. And don't have CTE

Rory Mac got a 250 mil Nike sponsorship for 10 years in 2013.
Imagine if he couldn't use Nike clubs (back then) and wear their apparel when playing or doing interviews.
