Just viewed this movie......wtf.

Much like most of the films nominated this year, i just dont understand what all the hype is about.

It was a plodding film, devoid of any entertainment whatsoever....i cant believe this was a spielberg film to be honest with you all. I kept waiting for something more to happen but it never did....

Honestly, after watching most of this years nominations im pretty dissapointed. I cant even believe get out is nominated....wtf is everyone on these days? These people need to dip their hands into the imagination jar and pull out some more original ideas.

Haven't seen the Post but saw most of the others and frankly Get Out is one of the better ones although not Oscar worthy. It is a very weak class this year. I've got Phantom Thread and Darkest Hour up next so hopefully I'll like them more.

Haven't watched it but I'm not surprised to hear this. I agree with you that most of the nominated movies this year are overrated. Including Three Billboards, which I liked.

It doesnt help that i watch a shit ton of movies, both foreign and domestic, so it probably ups my taste in quality. Im just not falling for these half assed hollywood productions at this point.

Hey guys. Black Panther just came out, it's enjoyable, according to the many people who've seen it. Try watching that, rather than movies you think are good because a handful of bought-off critics nominated them for an award that ultimately means nothing.

It's kinda ridiculous when people talk about Hollywood like it's some delivery service that's supposed to provide something on a schedule. It's a town where people make movies. One of many. If you don't like the movies that come out of it, don't watch them. Watch movies you do like. What you choose to watch and pay for will ultimately influence what Hollywood produces.
