Media Amanda Nunes confirms that she's coming out of retirement

When an NBA player retires, they actually retire. When an NFL payer retires, they really retire. When an MLB player retires, they retire. When a UFC fighter retires, it's often an empty gesture as they later un-retire. Sure, lay your gloves on the Octagon floor....chances are it's bullshit.
 
People never come back from retirement, because the very definition of retirement is that people leave their work permanently.

She just took a pause and called it a "retirement". So it was a lie.

That Norma girl is better than Pena. The girl Kayla recently beat imo is better than Pena.

Not so sure Pena wins here . Yes Pena is more experienced but she has one great win an lost just about every other good fighter she fights last 8 years . She beat Amanda when Amanda qas clearly not herself and Amanda destroyed her the 2nd fight.

Don't discount raw power brah especially agsinst a very average fighter

Legacy do not pay bills.. also only people that care about legacy are the internet nerds or egomaniac fighters like Mayweather. Normal people gives tho shit about it.

If Amanda feels she can compete and not take damage in the process.. she has no reason not to come back and collect a few paychecks.

Would there be any other reason she was in attendance? You dont see retired fighters at this kind of thing, she is probably returning for 1 more (at least) no matter who wins, Peña trilogy would be dumb and a fight no one asked for, or wants to see, Peña fluked her way in the first fight after taking a beating, then got beat up in the rematch, Harrison vs Nunes is somewhat interesting as its a new matchup that would had probably happened already had Peña not beat Nunes back then.

A) She could command a decent bag due to how completely in the shitter wmma is without her

B) She has been retired and out of the game.

If you were to peruse the combat sports hall of fame you would find MANY of the GOAT tier fighters who have L to father time.
