The Photography thread!

Maybe but I have spent years of my life around them and had have really no problems at all, I have had worse encounters with Elk and Moose. I have been told by dumb redneck bear haters that I am retarded and taking my life in my hands, sure I could run into the wrong bear in the wrong place one day and get mauled or killed but you could get killed driving down the street as well.

I don't hate bears, but I still think that's kind of crazy. To each their own. Do what you want.

You could get killed driving down the street, sure, but you're putting yourself at a higher risk though around bears.

Anyhow, if you're cool with it, that's fine.

Have you done anything with this one commercially or competition wise? very unique shot.

Most people think its pretty crazy but I have taken people with me on trips and it completely changes their opinion on what its like to be around bears in a natural environment like that. I wish everyone could experience something like it at least once.

I have spent so much time around them in the wild it just feels natural to me at this point, I can tell what they are thinking and what they are going to do fairly easy.

Nosing around town for once.

Are those Grizzlies? ffs man do you at least carry a can of bear spray? I think it's awesome and i'd like to do something like this one day (shoot wildlife). But I'd definitely have to carry around bear mace just for peace of mind. I understand you have a higher chance dying walking down the street and all that but death by bear is really asking to go painfully. They eat you while you're still alive allegedly. Can of spray is only like 20 bucks and has been shown to be an effective deterrent against large wildlife.

A view of the seven valley looking towards the main bridges, clickable for quite a lot more detail.

Where do you live at, @moreorless87 ? Your town looks nice, and kind of old country and European looking. Must be a lot of nice things to shoot there.

Also your photos make me want to do black and white photography, but damn do I love my bright colors.

Gloucestershire in South West England.

The "faux infrared" tree but in colour now the leaves have changed a bit more...
