The pacing of UFC events is extremely bad.

Always has been my number one complaint. Decrease the amount of fights per card, decrease the size of the time slot, then fill more time slots.

First of all if you had half a brain you would know my username has fuck all to do with weed.

Second of all my friend doesn't drink or smoke so you're literally so far off you my as well take that last step off the cliff sir.

Lol I take the small effort to play along with your dumb sir schtick and you get angry that I don't know your personal smoking habits because I haven't analyzed your previous posts enough. I'm literally quoting a post where you say you smoke during UFC events.

I take a single dab so yes technically...I smoke.
I don't smoke to the point I can't formulate a thought.

I don't have a "schtick" other than using a name from an animal that fascinates me.

It's way worse being there live. It's a fucking marathon to get through an event.
Hard disagree, Time goes by much quicker at the events and Im usually one of the first ones there. People also dont realize each fight has its own specific walk time, its on every betting odds slip in vegas. They cant just adjust because of a few quick finishes.

Or when a fight gets cancelled on fight day so they start the first fight 30 minutes into the broadcast.

That shit gets real old.

The whole sir thing is definitely a schtick, no need to deny that. I like it though, you're an interesting character.

Its a schtick?...I literally call everyone that including my friends and brother...im sure Im just doing that in real life just to get likes huh.?

You guys have no idea what respect is about obviously so using words like sir is fuckin alien to you.

Its ok though sir, maybe one day it'll occur to you to use it more yourself.

3rd round finish
45+ minutes break because WMMA
1st round finish
30mins break
1st round finish
40mins break cuz main card is starting

Wtf is this chit? Just watched a Glory event the other day and the pacing is so much better. Same thing is true for many other MMA orgs.

Just missed the entire last fight because I wasn't paying attention after so many long breaks.

Agreed whole-heartedly. I dont know if it's because I'm getting older but I find the production value of the UFC nearly unwatchable now.

The slick, futuristic horseshit graphics; the cheesy shilling by everybody, particularly DC; the continous advertisements for other events and products; the wmma "fights"

It does help in soothing whatever reluctance I might feel about not paying to watch the events, though. UFC events are glitzy self-promotion festivals for the UFC through which most of the money generated misses the actual fighters.

Surely you realize you're the only one doing this and it stands out. I don't need anybody to teach me how to be respectful, but if I did I don't think a guy telling me to step off a cliff would be the one to teach me.

One of the things that always seemed the most insane to me is the amount of ads on a PPV. As a European guy PPV is a completely foreign thing to me. But if I did pay 80 bucks for an individual event I'd definitely expect to get an ad free experience. I think now you even need to have a PAID subscription service just to have the privilege of buying a PPV? It's honestly hard to believe how people accept that and it's a profitable model.

Yeah, the amount of breaks is fucking absurd. I get that they have to get ads and what not in there, but they could really stand to cut some filler time.

I guess I don't really know how an event like that is run behind the scenes though, maybe all of that junk serves a purpose that we don't obviously see.

When the preliminary main event results in a first round finish and you're like oh gosh now it's 45 min at least until first fight of main card

I don't mind promo packages for fighters that much but still. 30 minute time slots per fight can be brutal. Or when there's a cancelled fight so they have to do nothing for 30 minutes

Sucks when the cycle of espn+ commercials are bad or repetitive too

Yeah man, it's insane. The whole thing is essentially just a big advertisement and narrative management for the UFC with a bunch of fights mixed in. And for the privelege of sitting through that you've gotta pay to subscribe to a service and then also shell out almost a hundred bucks per event. How in the fuck does this work? Why does any single person go along with this?
