Didn't watch the trailer. Jimmies unrustled.
Those Chinese white washing their own history. It’s payback for putting white folk in “the Great Wall”

It's okay to criticize, even the wrong helmet type can pull you from the fantasy, and this is much more blatant. I wonder what the backlash would be if they used makeup/prosthetics or just digitally gave the minority actors the proper features. The Sheik in Ben-Hur was a white guy but with makeup he handed in an Oscar worthy performance and it didn't detract from the movie the way him playing the role without makeup would have.Shh. You can't criticize a diverse cast, even if people of Asian background were never in Homer's novel.
At some point it's just nitpicky but it's better to be historically accurate. Most likely Agamemnon. For a few seconds you see Jon Bernthal on the left, who is playing Menelaos, who is Agamemnon's brother.
I think it looks promising. Nolan usually delivers with very few exceptions. Looking forward to it.
Also what's with people complaining about "wrong" helmets? It's greek mythology. Legends. Stories. Folklore. This movie is Nolan's interpretation of it. This can't and won't be a history channel documentary.
This is a pet peeve of mine.Knowing Nolan. This will be an emptier, soulless, darker, more boring version of Troy, with large, empty set peices, horrible fight scenes, extremely loud bass heavy music with the dialogue on volume 1.
I'm sure we'll all be in awe of the cinematography though..
Yawn.

They're part of the mythology though even if they didn't exist in real life.Lol, its already begun. "The helmets arent period accurate". Holy shit. You know what else isnt period accurate? A giant cyclops, singing sirens and every God in greek mythology.
Lols,
This generation is like “please just release it on Netflix as six easy episodes of 30min each so I can pay attention”
This was back when Hollywood and China were doing a lot of collaborations. They even had famous Chinese actors in Ironman at one point. Only to in the Chinese versions. Same with transformers movies. It’s not like that anymore though. Relationship between the two countries have gotten worseThose Chinese white washing their own history.
Troy is literally in AsiaShh. You can't criticize a diverse cast, even if people of Asian background were never in Homer's novel.
Your right !This has nothing to do with Netflix, which Nolan's work has never been collaborated with. It's about IMAX runtime due to projectors.
It is perfectly plausible that white people were in it.It’s payback for putting white folk in “the Great Wall”
