I think that inspired the opening of one of the Lethal Weapon movies
It also inspired one of the greatest bank heists shootouts in movie history with Heat..

yep, it was wild, AK's were the most feared gun of all time for a long timeI watched this live, wild as fuck. The police were so outgunned for most of the fight. These dudes decided to go out in a blaze of glory. Amazing no one got killed in the crossfire. I remember there was debate on whether they called EMS when one of the perps was down early enough.
Mandela effect going on over here, you’re probably right… I’ll allow itI think it was the other way around. Heat came out in 95 and I've heard it inspired those 2 whack jobs to really try it
That gun store owner was probably like "this is my big moment!"I think it was both ammo and bigger guns
I SWEAR this inspired HEAT.....WTFMandela effect going on over here, you’re probably right… I’ll allow it
We getting old yo!I SWEAR this inspired HEAT.....WTF

That definitely wasnt the first time a shootout like that happen.Even the bulletproof vests the cops were issued back then were no match for the guns brought to this fight.
I remember the following weeks after that it was a full on reforms for the police departments needed to upgrade weapons, munitions and tactical gear.. and we the people had no problems with it, even we knew it was needed for the coming years.
That was the first time the people saw that kind of shootout with those types of guns. It was like a movie in real life, and nobody liked it…
I don’t think I said it was the first time someone shot at a cop with a rifle..That definitely wasnt the first time a shootout like that happen.
People in here think that was the first time anyone every shot an assault rifle at a cop.
Wasnt the first by any means.

Probably greatest shootout in modern American history?
This or the Miami Dade shootout of 1986. The details of which are insane, & changed the way law enforcement around the country teach & train forever
