I would love a point system based on finishes only. A finish gives you rank points

It should be easy to follow and get hyped, then even a dude that goes balls to the wall and risks it doesn't suffer from the occasional loss, so long as he keeps beating ass more than he loses - a title run would be there eventually

Rankings based on finishes is far more logical than leaning on decision wins.
Often point matches. Often wrestling.
Titles would carry more weight.

The "sport" (entertainment art) could easily refer to:

X# Finishes (the most valuable information)

X# Decisions (just call it what it is, a judge's decision. Debatable. It's essentially bronze & silver as an analogy. It's not gold. )

X# Losses (is a loss, is a loss, doesn't matter how)

Instead of "wins, loss, no contest"
It served it's purpose,
but no longer needs to be in stone.

Don't even get me started on "no contests".

do you remember the time when the fighter's made sense? i don't dislike them but to pretend like a lot of these guys now a days aren't dumb as hell is being delusional. the fighter's 20 yrs ago said weird things and goofy stuff like "if you're comin on, COME ON", not "fighting the guy ranked above me does nothing for me and everything for him. i'm looking at a title shot" while i'm 1-3...
