The most violent championship taking in UFC history

Jones v Shogun was the first thing that came to mind.

I really wasn’t on board with the Bones hype until I couldn’t hold out any longer. Lol

I was on the Jones hype train but even I thought it was to soon for him to fight Shogun. Then he just made me look like a fucking idiot.

“Have you seen how skinny Jon’s legs are? LOL Shogun TKO by leg kicks” - majority of the UG 12 years ago.

What???

Clearly you weren't on Sherdog back then? Shogun got shit on relentlessly for tapping to strikes against Jones. It's been the major talking point of Shogun haters for the last 10 years.
Imagine hating Shogun Rua?

What kinda person would you have to be?

Can we even consider them a person?

I think he could have gotten a TS, but I'm fine with him fighting Daruish as planned. I think it will be an interesting and fun fight. I like to see activity in fighters, and recently Islam has been very active.
Glad to see you can actually discuss MMA. I would have to say I agree with your assessment. If he did get a shot after Dustin vs Olives I could see it but I am much more interested in seeing him against Dariush to see if he still looks as dominant.

I also think when Khabib vacated the UFC should have put on a Grand Prix to crown the next champion rather than simply choose 2 fighters out of a hat and make it a title fight. Had they chosen to do that I would see 8 fighters Conor, Dustin, Charles, Chandler, Tony, Islam, RDA & Dariush.

Randy literally spanked Tito and took his belt.

Would have to go with Shogun vs JJ.
It was sad to see Shogun take such a beating and look utterly helpless and lost.

You can tell after the first round he had no hope of believing he can win and you can see his soul leaving his body as JBJ was just absolutely beating the brakes off of him.

It was a hell of a performance by Jon but its one of the only times i felt really bad for the guy who just lost his belt.

Glover vs Jan is a much better example than Nunes cyborg, and it just happened not even 2 months ago
That fight was just a brawl Nunes won. No dominantion
Jones shogun was a complete one sided destruction though.. I was a shogun fan and it was a hard one to watch live
Jan vs Glover wasn't that vicious, was a dominant performance though by Glover.

I'm not trolling, GSP did tap to strikes. And he tapped to strikes from a bloated LW BJJ midget. It's a fact, I can provide you with the clip if you want.

I'm a Sherdogger, I don't troll I just spit facts. Maybe sometimes opinions. But troll? Never!

and even thought GSP tapped to strikes he is still one of the big three, besides Jones and Fedor, who are competing for the ultimate GOAT!

its crazy when you think that there is really nobody else who could possibly be the GOAT, especially nobody from the last few years! Well… maybe Usman could come close but we have to give him some more fights!

Conor took the LW belt by defeating Alverez, right? That was pretty one-sided.

True, hence I mentioned a GOAT GSP in my original post.

The Serra loss and how it happened is probably the biggest blemish in his potential number 1 GOAT status. Yes he did avenge that loss, but he probably would have been the GOAT if he did not lose that fight to begin with. Though it did change his fighting style which led to him being dominant (but boring). So who knows.

probably the most lopsided championship fight of all time. (first one, but could practically apply to second one as well)
Silva did more dammage to Rich than Jones did to Shogun.
Jon's performance was more dominant though. 75 significant strikes to 9.

These two are definitely the best ufc two championship takings of all time.
I'm undecided at which is better.
