IDK, that was about the softest 24-1 you've ever seen. You will notice after that fight the level of competition was a lot better which more the problem than losing the Brian Bowles.Miguel Torres: 24-1 going into his fight against Roger Bowling. He went 7-7 after that loss.
Another good one. Rockhold was never the same after the Bisping loss.
GSP vs. Hendricks..
He went 3-6 after losing to GSP.
For reference, he was 15-1 going into that fight
UFC > Pride.![]()
Jones has like 12 wins in title fights since, 13 overall I believe. Shogun has gone 8-7-1 since.
Brian Bowles? Though I think Roger Bowling is a mid level fighter as well. Or was at some timeMiguel Torres: 24-1 going into his fight against Roger Bowling. He went 7-7 after that loss.
Yea, it was Brian. A few people have pointed it out, I just never went back to edit it. I had Bowl in my head and ran with Roger on it. Roger was also mid tier. I remember him from his time in Strikeforce.Brian Bowles? Though I think Roger Bowling is a mid level fighter as well. Or was at some time
What was career altering about that?Ronda - Kaufman
What was career altering about that?
I see why you say that. I though it was weird because both of them did quite well in MMA and became champions in their respective organizations. I couldn't really see a downfall. It launched Ronda and women into the UFC. If she had lost there seriously might not be WMMA in the UFC.
Im trying to go in a different direction. When ever this thread comes around it is usually 99% discussion about a beating a fighter took after which things were never the same.
Torres - in hindsight - just never that good and it was the Joe B fight where I thought I was watching a CSI program. After that infamous blood pool......g.damnnnnMiguel Torres: 24-1 going into his fight against Brian Bowles. He went 7-7 after that loss.
EDIT: Originally posted that Roger Bowling was his opponent.
