The long-awaited return of the Monkey King. He fought at FW early in his career.

He is making his FW UFC debut against blue chip Cuban prospect Yadier Del Valle, last seen winning a suspicious first round submission over Isaac Dulgarian.

Del Valle is 10-0, 2-0 in the UFC

Leavitt is 12-3, 5-3 in the UFC

Del Valle is a real blue-chip prospect, and a great test of Leavitt's newfound serious attitude towards his fighting career.

I thought Jarred Brooks was the Monkey King, but apparently he's the Monkey God. Is there a difference?

Can't stand Leavitt but this is a good move for him. Favour the Cuban, though.

Feels like a bad stylistic match-up. I like Jordan and I think he has a fun style/persona, but I struggle to see him having success here. He's a solid grappler, but not top-tier. Hooper, Puelles, and Pimblett all showed him levels. You can make a case for Ogden winning their fight, too. His top game is pretty decent, but his wrestling is mediocre. On the feet, he has basically found out how to use his long frame and Southpaw stance to point-fight at range with straight punches, body kicks, and low kicks until he can set up another takedown/clinch entry.

Yadier's a bit difficult to judge fairly seeing as how we don't know if his last win was legitimate... but I still think he's a talented prospect. He's a decent pressure-boxer with power in his hands who doesn't mind a brawl. He's a legit Gracie-Barra Black Belt with lots of grappling experience both in and out of the cage and his power-wrestling seems to be pretty dangerous. Also, he just seems like a really explosive athlete whereas Leavitt is a dude who strikes me as someone who's found a way to succeed in spite of a relative lack of athleticism.

Jordan's win condition is to just dance around on the outside with straight punches and kicks to frustrate del Valle until he can find reactive takedowns on the pressure-fighter and bully his way into top position. I do expect Jordan to be the bigger man with a reach advantage, for what it's worth... I just don't know if it'll be enough. I think eventually del Valle will crowd Jordan, hurt him, and force bad shots out of him. Maybe he wins a damage-based Decision, or maybe he finds the finish on the mat. Leaning toward the latter.

I have YDV winning this. I do just see him running through Jordan.
