The modern day U FIGHT CHEAP fen simply doesnt understand how insane K-1 was

Look, my mind is set on Mirko. He was a great fighter but I believe Adesanya and Pereira would beat him, easily I might add.

Wanderlei on other hand, is the most overrated fighter ever. He was never considered GOAT at LHW, there always a debate between the LHW’s. Liddell, Couture and Tito would’ve all beat him.

I think it depends on the rule set. Wanderlei to me would have beat chuck, but tito and couture would have been real tough even with the better suited rule set in wandys favor

Where’s is this academy name and location? We can get this party really started.
Gracie Barra Northridge.

Oh, look at all those old people overestimating things from the past again based purely on their emotional memories.
Yes yes, everything in the past was better than the present, we know.

“Oh, Alex lost to Artyr Kyshenko and Artem Levin so he's certainly not on the level of K1 fighters”

This result-driven view is only pertinent to defend your flawed argument, it would be like trying to define the greatness of Gokhan Saki or Mirko Crocop based on their result against Gonzaga and Rountree, what happened was only the portrait of a moment that does not consider the circumstances of those moments.

Sports evolve, fighters evolve and circumstances are never the same.
Calm down junior.

It's not always things in the past. It's things in their PRIME that matters. Evolution is not guaranteed. Sports become watered down and as the talent pool broadens it inevitably declines in quality.

Jordan > LeBron.

Cope.

K-1s height was 1997-2003. Everything after that was just dog shit. K-1 Max was okay with Matsuto.

Couture and Ortiz would have not beat Wanderlei in the ring. They would need big octagon to run away from him, keep distance and try to counter him, or to wrestle him against the fence. In the ring they would have get cornered or pressured against the ropes, overwhelmed and KOd. They could not trade with W. Silva. Wanderlei was too explosive and fast for them, too agressive when you had no space to escape in the square ring, unlike cage where you can allways escape in open space, and Wand had too many tools for them, faster hands, kicks, knees; also good on the ground BJJ black belt, not easy to hurt without elbows that were banned.

Liddel would have had the best chance out of 3 to counter him, but Wand was tougher and faster than Chuck.

Coke > Coke Light > Coke Zero. Sadly, everything else has followed that trend and timeline, including humans.
