My one was
Back then, I was so obsessed with drums. If an album had killer drumming and a really fast tempo, I bought it instantly. Everything else was secondary.I remember being puzzled by the vocals, though; they were so unrecognizable, monsterlike. But I didn't care, as long as the drums were on point.... and here they where/are PERFECTLY.
Later on, when Obituary dropped their debut Slowly We Rot, I put on the opener, 'Internal Bleeding.' Whooosh! That was some real heavy sh_t!
I vividly remember after i bought the album my grandma walking into my room at the exact moment the vocals start kicked in. She was absolutely shell-shocked. Seeing her face .... and ARGH! ...that was priceless!
My grandma was cool about it, but my mom? Not so much. She used to say, 'Why do you listen to such aggressive music? It just makes you more aggressive!!! (waaah waaah waaah) She never really understood me.
In reality, that music saved me. It was a way to vent the 'aggro' emotions I had back then. You dive into the stream of the song with 100% raw emotion, and by the time you stop listening you feel relaxed.

RELINQUIIIIISSSSHHH
yeah dude, i was similar! first i wanted to find the fastest most technical shit out there. then after i satisfied that curiosity i went for the slowest and most experiential or primitively simple. and then eventually i just started looking for quality hahaWhen I was a youngin I was hungry as fuck to listen to whatever was the most brutalist and evilest bands I hadnt heard yet. Imagine getting into metal and just sticking with the ame 15 bands you started out with lol
