Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

New Nervosa

I different approach on this one very black metalish where as there are normally very thrashy. I like it these chicks rules.

Got a killer local Death Metal show tonight in a nice venue that is letting HEAVY in the door for the first time.

In addition to Laceration who I've shown you guys before, Vile Rites is set to slay the stage, and they have the same drummer as Laceration so he'll be on double duty. This fucker is in like 5 bands.

Do people here like Sleep Token? Have to admit after reading about them I was a bit underwhelmed by Even In Arcadia.

I'm glad he's gone

"I never really liked heavy metal in the first place. I came from Alabama playing country music, surf rock, rockabilly, and stuff like that. I just went through a phase in my 20s where I thought it was rebellious to play heavy metal. And then I met Brann [Dailor, Mastodon drummer] and Bill [Kelliher], and they were really, really, really into heavy metal. And ever since then, I’ve been trying to get Mastodon to not be such a heavy metal band, because I fucking hate heavy metal, and I don’t want to be in a heavy metal band.

dude seems toxic asf.

New Forbidden single finally dropped for their upcoming album. I think the boys have done a great job keeping that Forbidden sound. Skinner fits in perfect on vocals:

I am just sayin Metallica were the biggest and heaviest band in the world, an inspiration to all headbangers.

Then they betray metal, release LOAD, cut off their hair, wear eyeliner and start making out to promote the thing.

You gotta understand how angry this made their fans. People were so fuckin pissed!

For me it started way earlier. And justice for all was for me the end. It wasn´t the same anymore after that and the Black album was the nail in the coffin. And also the last Metallica gig I ever was at.
But I have to admit that my first ever metal gig with 16 was the master of puppets tour in 87. It was 3-4 month after the death of Cliff Burton (RIP). The gig had to be postponed back then.

I've been on a bit of a black metal kick lately. I used to listen to it a lot, but not so much for the last few years.

Ill go through this thread and review some of the shit i aint heard

BEWARE

New Deathgrind from Shelby Lermo (Nails / Ulthar) & Tommy Wall (Undeath)

I can fux w this. The vocals are actually good on this, when usually the vocals on Grind stuff is very shitty or annoying. Drumming kills.
