Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

New Skinlab video. Steev bringing the HEAVY.

Love Disembody the New Flesh and Bound Blindfolded and Gagged. Listened to those a ton back in the day and still put it on sometimes killer stuff. These new songs are pretty generic though. tbh.

40K were watching that Ghost video and it was the live premier.

I thought I was in the Metal thread, why am I seeing Ghost?

I like Rock music too, but primarily older bands.
Ghost has that crossover appeal and tons metal fans like them that's why they're here. Their first few albums are metal and if they're not then Black Sabbath isn't metal either because that is were they pull a lot of their influence from. Mind you they have definitely got more pop rock sounding on the last two records but these new singles at least have the crunchy guitars back that were missing from those 2 albums. imho I am hopeful this one will be good.

Fuck yeah! New Bay Area Thrash Supergroup: Nefarious

Vocals: Katon De Pena (Hirax)
Guitar: Rick Hunolt (Exodus)
Guitar: Doug Piercy (Heathen)
Bass: Tom Gears (Blind Illusion)
Drums: WIll Carrol (Death Angel)

This was my introduction to Scandinavian metal around 25 years ago, 20 year old me was like "what the hell just hit me?"

So I've got Exodus/Death Angel tomorrow night, and it will be interesting to see Dukes for the first time, however what I'm most excited about is Blind Illusion playing with their original vocalist David White who went on to join the band Heathen. They haven't played together since 1985! Les Claypool was also the bassist for Blind Illusion, their one of the OG Bay Area Thrash bands that started in 1978. They got IMO the best bassist out there now Avery Thurman who is only 19 but is like Cliff Burton reborn. Gonna be sick!

Ghost 'Skeleta' drops tonight at Midnight!

Don't be scared homies.
