I saw him with Dark Angel last year. It was like he was doing a drum solo the whole entire show without breaking a sweat. Crazy to watch.

That's awesome! Wish I could have seen him with Testament, I saw him forever ago with Strapping Young Lad and recently with the Death To All revival.

I saw him with Dark Angel last year. It was like he was doing a drum solo the whole entire show without breaking a sweat. Crazy to watch.

I saw a video of his a while back where he said he would practice and even play shows wearing wrist and ankle weights, so when he's not wearing them I'm sure drumming is so much easier lol.

Dethklok was a lot of fun, basically the band played in darkness and the characters were animated on the screen, very interesting.

Oh and can confirm Gene Hoglan is still a drum god, he just never misses, looks like drumming is so easy for him.

Support act Freedom of Fear were great too, brutal female vocals and trading sweep picked guitar solos, amazing stuff

Crap, I wish I would've tried to make the Machine Head show in Oakland last night. Seeing my friends post clips it looked fucking awesome. They brought Chris Kontos out for "Davidian" but unfortunately not on the drums, he sung the second verse. Didn't realize he had vocals, LOL.

It's OK, I have Exodus/Death Angel coming up in a few weeks. This will be my first time seeing them with Dukes. I'm not the biggest fan of his but we'll see how it is live.

The new Benediction album is fucking killer. Super heavy. My only complaint and it's common with most new metal albums is the vocals are so damn forward in the mix. I like as close to live as possible and it never sounds like that live nor should it.
