Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

ill have to give it a listen then. im a huge grindcore fan, its been my favorite metal genre for a while and i thought Nails' first 2 albums were some of the best grind since Insect Warfare.

did you hear the new Gridlink yet? i think theyre the best grindcore band around today.

They're great, but as with Nails, they're more HC than grind, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but when it comes to grindcore I am more into the old school stuff. This is my fav grind band ever

Assuck are incredible. one of my favorite grindcore bands too! Anticapital is a top 10 all time grindcore album. and i am also into the older stuff. i think i probably have Repulsion's Horrified and Napalm Death's From Enslavement To Obliteration imprinted on my DNA at this point.

as for Gridlink.....i kind of dont know what to call them. theyre grindy and they have some hardcore elements. but then theres random influences from emo, power metal, post-punk, etc. very unique band. i just call them grindcore cause i think it fits the best. oh and of course im a big fan of Discordance Axis as well.

This just dropped today!! Every bit as brutal as expected... Here's hoping they don't take 8 years again for the next release!
I don't really like grindcore, and I'm not sure how I feel about this on a quick listen. I'm just not really into the whole windmill backfist and wheel kick scene. I'll still probably go check them out live in November though. Live has changed my perception on other bands/genres, plus Carlos Cruz on drums is always a plus.

man, it really sucks what grindcore is now to a lot of people. it was never about that pit ninja crap. trends can be terrible.
this is some not-too-old grindcore that i really enjoy. no windmill nonsense to be found.

Haven't listened to them in years but for some reason today had the urge to put this on

Maiden tomorrow night, been a long wait, had tickets for May 2020 but we all know what happened there. Setlist not ideal, I do like Senjitsu and they play a lot from that but the rest of the setlist isn't my favourite, all good, will still be awesome!
Seen them a few times and never disappointed, enjoy dude

I saw em twice in 07, probably best live band I've seen, I'm sure they've aged a bit but i'm sure will still be excellent. Fear of the Dark is one of the more epic concert moments there is I'd say.

They were great, new material sounded fantastic particularly "The Writing on the Wall". Not the best setlist tbh, one song of Number of the Beast and it was Prisoner for example but can't complain really, what a great live band they are.

Bruce sounded awesome, i think he runs around less these days which probably helps his vocals. He should shut the fuck up during songs though, was dribbling a lot of shit.

The laser gun fight between Bruce and Eddie was pretty funny, cool pyros etc.
