Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

I forgot about Fear Factory. They are my favorite death metal band. And they mix good vocals with the screaming

I listened to them almost exclusively for like a year

I love their machine theme

There one song by Fear Factory with the Bladerunner quote.. I can't remember the name of the song

Yup sure is. I have been to psycho las vegas a few times previously
i had never heard of that fest so i had to look it up. those are some random-ass lineups they had. reminds me of Chaos in Texas in the 2010s. lots of different genres.

ive been to Maryland Deathfest every year since 2009. its worth it each time, even though Baltimore sucks. when it gets close to fest time, reach out to me if you want some advice or pointers on where to stay, where not to go in Baltimore, etc.

This is more like Groove Metal, I wouldn't call this Death Metal at all. The riffs are kind of Death Metal influenced but that's it.

I hated Death Metal forever, mainly because of the vocals. I think you need to see some of the bands live to really get into it. Once it clicks it's fucking awesome. So fucking heavy.

Like all genres though you need to find the right band to get you into it as not everyone sounds the same within a genre.

Those are my 3 favorite songs from this band

I love how fast they play their music

Sound a lot like this AsI lay Dying song

Another sick song from that album

And Yes Fear Factory rules!! They would be classified as industrial groove metal been a fan for 25 years

They do sound similar to me but I think Parasite Inc wins.

They're like a Symphony of Metal

They got a lot of speed.

The guys in your band can sing too. I like the mixture of that demon voice with the good singing that kicks in every now and then

I like your band, and I'm putting them on my playlist

I just found some Scottish heavy metal. This makes me think of Asgard or something

Like Odin riding that giant wolf and the people are singing. They made him get off his throne to kick some ass. Odin riding into your town

I've been hooked on 200 Stab Wounds since seeing them last Saturday. I'm telling you guys if they are touring in your area go fucking see them. Best set I've seen in a while and I go to at least 3 or more shows every month.

on topic - i dont like anything else these guys did but i have been listening to this album again a lot recently and its still cool. Nifelheim's apparently still going.

Nah Nifelheim are defunct, what you might be refering to is their singer's new solo project Hellbutcher, which sounds basically the same... Debut album was released this year and it's pretty fucking awesome btw. Also guy looks like Beetlejuice, lol.

I found out the singer of Fear Factory left the band and this is another band he sang for.

This one has been on repeat all day

I don't know if the song is about the moon or the Northstar

This guy has the voice

its like those brothers are in competition to have the longest and least hair possible simultaneously.

also i loved the first 2 Nails records but i thought the 3rd one sucked. had too many bro-core pit ninja moments for me. how do you like the new one?

  • Haha
Reactions: HHJ
This just dropped today!! Every bit as brutal as expected... Here's hoping they don't take 8 years again for the next release!

I listened to to it whilst i was at the gym this morning, enjoyed it quite a bit

I've been listening to it on a loop all day. It is really good... I didn't notice any of those breaks you talk about in this... it's all hc & grind with some heavy chugging riffs too. Superbly produced!

ill have to give it a listen then. im a huge grindcore fan, its been my favorite metal genre for a while and i thought Nails' first 2 albums were some of the best grind since Insect Warfare.

did you hear the new Gridlink yet? i think theyre the best grindcore band around today.
