Kickass album and cover artwork of the year contender!

Got a killer Tuesday night local show with Hatriot.

Steve Zetro Souza from Exodus started this band with his two kids (Cody on vocals/base, Nick on drums). Cody is a chip off the old block.

Saw them open for Warbringer a few months back and they kicked ass.

*EDIT - nevermind I'm a moron this show is August 11th.

I do have Havok/Toxic on Thursday tho!

Zetero Souza's vocals are horrible I dunno why Gary Holt would ruin such great music with such bad vocals, Rob Dukes was better but not by much.imo

Max and Igor Cavelera re-recorded versions of Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation (early Sepultura albums)

I never really went further back than Beneath the Remains but them re-recoding these is really cool. Sounding killer so far..

Personal taste I guess. I can't stand Dukes and prefer Zetro by A LOT. Dukes is generic as fuck. Paul Baloff is the all time GOAT however.

After "Bonded by Blood" my favorite Exodus album is "Tempo of the Damned". The best Zetro has sounded IMO. The guy can even rap...

An aquaintance of mine's band. They should be more well known but they don't put the effort in to marketing themselves. FFO Monolord, Mastodon, Seven Sisters of Sleep etc

Well shit just had my face melted off by Forbidden in a tiny venue. Was rocking out right next to Rick Hunolt from Exodus. Probably wont be able to hear anything for the next few days but it was worth it!

New Baroness song:

Much better than the first single, I love that you can hear something frome every part of their career, though opening riff is dangerously similar to Mastodon's Blood and Thunder :)

I would love instrumental versions because the music is solid Gary Holt is one of the best thrash metal song writers out there but once those vocals hit I'm out.

An absolute banger. I remember being blown away when I saw that album cover. Pretty sad these guys went away

NILE
The burning Pits of Duat

From the liner notes by Karl Sanders: So Dallas went to work, and the infernal riffing he conjured was so overwhelming in its brutality and hellish in its technicality that for the rest of us to play the material correctly required weeks of intense rehearsal; not only to play the riffs clean and in time (and to legitimately nail the tricky changes), but for the drums to maintain the overwhelming 256 BPM blasting, constant quick beat changing and crazy fills.

My favorite nile album for sure. So many good ones on there. Visited Egypt recently and just had that on headphones staring at the pyramids. Hit different when you're actually there
