Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

From Spain

Not bad at all. A blend of Airbourne and Motörhead to my hears.

Spain currently has a few decent units. Angelus apatrida and Crisix come to mind if you're into thrash. I do like them.

I went to the Vio-Lence 35 year anniversary of Eternal Nightmare show in Oakland yesterday and holy fuck... I've seen a lot of amazing shows in the last year but this one takes the cake. Just a pure masterclass in Thrash Metal. Phil Dimmel and Ira Black had insane guitar tone right up there with Scott Ian who I saw with Anthrax and Mr Bungle this year.

Everyone in the Bay Area Thrash scene was there, I got to talk to Zetro Souza from Exodus a bit. Sean Killian from Vio-Lence one of the nicest dudes ever. Lucky to have been there.

Eternal nightmare wasn't exactly groundbreaking in 1988 but holy shit, the whole album is tits. I'm happy for you if the gig was good, I really hope they come to Europe soon.

Also Jade (deat/doom), Wormed (technical brutal death), Machetazo (death/grind), Haemorraghe (goregrind), Teitanblood (Black/death)...

This is getting a lot of play from me. If you're a fan of brutal death metal, tuck your pants in your socks.

Airbourne is a band I wont miss live if they come through again. Saw them in a small venue last year that they rocked like it was a full stadium. So damn hype. My ears were destroyed the next day though. Sound like a modern day AC/DC.

Next month I'm gonna see Zetro from Exodus do his best Bon Scott impersonation with his cover band AC/DZ.

I saw Airbourne years ago just before the 2nd album i think, they are still the loudest band i've seen
