Regarding Havok it's pretty cool that Pete (drums) is with Fear Factory now and Reece (guitar) has been doing a lot of shows playing lead guitar in Machine Head, i think for the North American dates. Getting Vogg in the band didn't really make much sense he's a great player just logistically doesn't make sense but i think he is still in the band. Might want to look into if it will be the original members doing the show.Fuck me... have to make a tough choice.
Same night for these concerts, can only go to one:
Havok/Toxic Holocaust in Berkeley
vs
Overkill/ExHorder/Heathen in San Francisco
I can get a ride to the Havok show so that sweetens the deal.
I haven't kept up with their rotation so not sure. I know Machine Head was having issues getting their Euro guys over for shows so they may have snatched him up to help at the few festival shows they've done, but no tour so I'd imagine he's open for this.Regarding Havok it's pretty cool that Pete (drums) is with Fear Factory now and Reece (guitar) has been doing a lot of shows playing lead guitar in Machine Head, i think for the North American dates. I heard the album 'Pitch Black Progress' first I have always known of this band but only recently started digging into them and that album is really good too. Just doing some research and i guess it was just one vocalist for the first few albums then after 'Holographic Universe' they replaced him with two vocalists one for cleans and one for harshes. I wonder why they went with two? hmm I haven't heard any of those albums have you are those any good? The most recent one doesn't seem to be getting great reviews.Yeah that one stuck with me straight away

ok! I'll check one or two out myself for sure. Funny when i was listening to the two albums i mentioned i was picturing it with two singers because that's what i thought they always were. lol it's always great discovering new bands even if they are old bands. ha ha I have always loved the Swedish Melodeath stuff and have been a long time fan of Soilwork as well as Early In Flames and At the gates and these guys seem to fit right in there on a talent level at least so far on the early stuff. No i haven't , kinda forgot about catching up on them not long after Holographic
