Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

@BEATDOWNS

Supposedly Mastodon are working with Kurt Ballou for their new album
Never liked Coverge but I know he has produced a lot of albums. I'm sure it will still sound like Mastodon.

The lastest song they put out with Randy Blythe on vocals was really good. It was band collab so I am not sure if LOG wrote any riffs or if it's just Randy on vox but it sounds mostly like a Mastodon song.

I never liked Paradise Lost except first album and some songs from the 2nd one.
The best in my opinion from the 2nd one:

Just saw Beherit's first ever show in the USA on friday night. It was fucking amazing.
@HHJ

Im only a tiny bit disappointed since they didnt play Suck My Blood but it was a great setlist otherwise. Other than All In Satan, which is my least favorite Beherit metal song

I was there too and I was BLOWN AWAY

The sound was otherworldy.

The only thing that could have made it better is if it was just me in the crowd and I was tripping on mushrooms in front of the speakers in the fetal position so my ears can bleed proper

Also i wish they could have played Six days with lord diabolus or Beast of Damnation but i didnt expect those anyway

I brought my wife who isnt really into much metal and she enjoyed it, go figure.
There was one opener that was absolute dogshit, Battle Ruins. Terrible. Wish i showed up after they finished.
But i loved how Beherit played at least 3-4 songs from each metal album of theirs. Never thought I would hear Sodomatic Rites or Grave Desecration live. Unreal - it was such a good performance.

Six Days With Sadistic Slayer*

But yeah i wanted a bit more from Oath Of Black Blood too.

Unfortunatley the NYC lineup loosk like bullshit compared to the chicago or tx dates. Fuckin hipster bullshit. Weak.

I basically just chilled out until Beherit went on.

Brendan Radigan is an amazing vocalist but i couldnt give two titty fucks about him doing Battle Ruins and it absolutley didnt belong on this show

HIPSTER OUTSIDER BULLSHIT FUCK OFF

ONLY METAL OF DEATH IS REAL

Well the thing is, oath of black blood songs would have just been a wall of noise with the set up they had hahahaha

I bought it back when NWN put it out, its the ultimate item for a BEHERIT fan.

It has amazing high quality pictures, and contains every interview they ever did before initial break up.

Oath of Black Blood material was always meant to be demos, but put out as an album by the label against their wishes, you can sense the dissatisfaction in some of those interviews, so maybe he isnt keen on playing the material.

Those interviews are worth reading, despite on how the main guy looked back then, he def was a super oddball weirdo and very untypical of the usual BM type. It was funny to hear his honest reactions to the murders happening in Norway at the time. "What is wrong with those guys??"

By the time Drawing Down the Moon was released in 1993, he was basically already not really even into black metal anymore and was moving more into electronics.

Going to travel to Europe to catch some shows, metalcore/nu-metal and mix.

I try to find a bar/pub that plays metal, it's usually a good time.

anyways I'm seeing 2 shows.

Parkway Drive , The Amity Affliction , Thy Art Is Murder

Disturbed, Megadeth
