Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

These guys have just released a killer EP and their first ever video (Edit: Second, my bad!). Even better than their debut album IMO, best crossover thrash you will find around!

Galder left Dinmmu Borgir to focus on his band Old Mans Child. I remember really liking at least one album back in da day. This song rips.

Pagan Prosperity was their best imo. Glad he is back to focusing on his baby.

This new Machine Head song a collab song with In Flames lacuna Coil and Unearth is pretty rad and super thrashy. Maybe this collab thing is a new trend Lamb of God and Mastodon Just did it wit the song Floods of Triton a sick song by the way. I'm all for it..

Aethyrvorous back from 15 years of slumber.
FFO of Mitochondrion, Qrixkuor, Disimperium, Portal etc

Sick Crossover band from Oakland. They have a bit of a Power Trip sound to them. Love the guitar tone. All drive, kicks fucking ass:

This shit still hits so good. Slayer ruled the metal world on their first three albums.

First sign of Araya's rapid fire vocal outbursts, setting him apart from his Cronos inspired foundation.

Pray to the moon when it is round
Death with you shall then abound
What you seek for can't be found
In sea or sky or underground

Love that album it's one of the great ones. The great Machine Head albums are great the trash Machine Head albums are trash. They only have three that I would say are trash the rest range from good to great. A lot of people don't like Robb Fylnn's vocals/lyrics and I get that but dem riifs boi!!

Made me wet for sure. That whole album is amazing brah! what is it about just that one song that you like? their debut Burn My Eyes is all killer no filler too!

It's the songwriting, they really did a good job building to a dramatic climax.

They did alot of very cool studio trickery with the vocals overlaid on each other

Also the booklet shows these b + W footage of people hangin from gallows.

So when your a 17 yr old and you look at that pic while the ending of the song tapers off when he is whispering "rise....rise...rise..." its just super effective and memorable.

@HHJ Rob Flynn is one hell of a song writer the man can write a chune. These are the four songs he did for the Roadrunner United All-Star sessions he was one of 4 team captains. I''l post a link for more info about it so you can see who was all involved. The other team Captains were Joey Jordison(Slipknot) Dino Cazares(Fear Factory) and Matt Heafy (Trivium) They all got to choose artists to work with from the Roadrunner roster and all wrote four original songs each with the captains being the main writers. It is super cool. Fuck I'll post the whole DVD too! You got me going now. lol
