The Meme Thread: v1

Anarcho-communisn is a redundant term. Anarchism is synonymous with communism.

Yes, mutual agreements, establishing property rights through labor, private defense agencies, DRO's, non-aggression axioms and of course unicorns. This is the realisitc version of anarchy!

This is a meme thread, so I won't derail it anymore. And in any event we had this discussion before I believe, and I know which way it's going, it's like discussing evolution with a creationist. There's no point.

Like speaking about evolution, where you're the creationist?

It's interesting you say that because anarcho-communism contradicts how we as a species spontaneously organize, associate, and allocate resources without coercion from a "ruler".

Perhaps you should note, that I in my previous post stated how I also regard communism as a far fetched utopia. I simply grant it that it holds intellectual merit as a theory, unlike anarcho capitalism.

Anyway, when are you moving to Liberland?

I listen to a little bit of his stuff, but I never knew he was an actual minarchist....

You or Thames I think mentioned how he called for people to drive their friends and family away if they couldn't accept the position of anarchism. As an voluntarist myself, I thought that was a little sleazy of a stance to promote, and seemed quite cultish.

Just wanted to touch on this as well. That was me.
He made a podcast which I think was titled "your family wants you dead" or something like that, but it caught a lot of bad attention, and he took it down and denies having ever made it now. Here's a guy that has compiled some clips from that video:

It continues at 9:35, and at 15:00.
Basically the gist was that if you hang out with people who don't adhere to the non-aggression principle (i.e. they support paying taxes), then you hang out with people who ultimately support you being shot. And of course you should not be around people who wants you shot. This is all part of his "defoo" philosophy.

He made a new toned down video of that message here, where he urges you to confront your family members (wake them up) during christmas dinner - are they with you or against you against the tyranny?!:

Yeah, quite cultish is probably putting it mildly. When I was an undergrad I had a friend (also an austrain economics guy), who listened to that guy religiously. Needless to say, that friend was not popular at parties.

Yup that's all pretty cringeworthy. Despite that he's still advocating for the most ethically consistent political philosophy humankind has ever devised.

The beautiful part is that Molyneux's position here is as "draconian" as that philosophy would allow; non-association. That's opposed to the extortion, which every other political persuasion proposes.

Disregarding the indigent doesn't strike me as ethical, though I can't argue that it's inconsistent.

Initially it was called 'Memes which trigger leftists' , then (of course) leftists got triggered, bitched about how it's not funny and spammed their own memes in the thread, thread was renamed to 'the meme thread' to not hurt their feelings.

LOL, is that how it plays in your mind?

More like leftists came up with their own memes and righties bitched about their safe space being violated.

Absolutely nobody in the left side is whining.
